The beautiful old city Alkmaar can be reached at 10 km.
It offers plenty of attractions, and from May to September the magnificent, world famous cheese market on Friday.
Also, there is no problem of Egmond aan Zee to reach the beautiful city of Amsterdam. For example, the train from Heiloo about 5 minutes by car, since you can use the car park park & ride for nothing and are in about 40 minutes in the center of Amsterdam.

100% recommendation
Very nice apartment, everything very clean and everything you need is available. It takes just about 15 minutes to walk to the center and less than 20 minutes to the beach. Landlady Yvonne is very nice and she is always open to any questions.
Yvonne, we will come back!

Beautiful holiday week in Egmond aan Zee
We spent a fantastic week with our 2-year-old daughter in Yvonne and Willem's apartment. The apartment is very well-maintained and offers everything you need for a vacation - and more. The open kitchen and the adjoining open living/dining room are very spacious, allowing even 4 adults to spend a rainy day in the apartment. We were fortunate to have the best weather - nonetheless, it's nice to come back to a modern, spacious apartment after a day at the beach or a dune hike. Those who, like us, bring bicycles, trailers, or similar items on vacation can store them securely under Yvonne and Willem's holiday apartment in the huge storage room, protecting them from the elements. The only tiny flaw - if you can even call it that - is the quiet location at the outskirts of the village near the dune entrance, which was not a problem for us at all due to the bicycles and the wagon Willem lent us.
Yvonne and Willem are really very nice, helpful, and always ready to help with smaller or larger problems!
We can definitely highly recommend the holiday apartment and would love to vacation there again anytime.

An all-round great holiday to feel good about
The flat is equipped with everything you need (and more). The beds are very comfortable and the flat is bright, friendly and modern.
It is located on the outskirts of the village and is therefore very quiet
The landlords are very friendly and accommodating. You felt at home from the first moment and could therefore relax wonderfully.

Can we highly recommend!
We spent four lovely days here with 2 adults and 1 child (5) and are extremely satisfied.
The landlady is very nice, laid-back, and accommodating.
The apartment is well laid out, spacious, and beautifully furnished.
What I must mention here in particular: I have never experienced a holiday home so perfectly equipped. Everything that a person needs on vacation has been thought of here, and not just in the kitchen. In addition to the essential equipment (which is not always complete with some other landlords), there are also about 1000 small things that were considered. I thought that was great!
Bed linen and towels were included and smelled invitingly fresh!
We were greeted with flowers and fresh strawberries from the garden. Thank you :-)
I would also like to mention that colder days were taken into account. It is not given that one can turn up the heating in the evening or on a fresh morning to raise the temperature a bit - I have often experienced that from April on, the vacation rentals remained cold and unchangeable - not here! For me, a big plus point.
What I did not like so much was the location of the apartment. Although it is very close to the dunes and the walk to the town/beach is also no problem, you live in the midst of two houses and have zero view. In this context, it was also a pity that there was no outdoor area where one could sit.
Wi-Fi is available, but usually very weak.
Overall, we would come back anytime and can definitely recommend this apartment!

We will return!
We were here in the summer with two children (8 and 10) and felt comfortable right away. Yvonne is a very nice and helpful host, the apartment clean, bright, and friendly, and exactly as shown in the photos. The fact that the bedrooms are a bit darker did not bother us - we were at the beach or cycling all day anyway. The beds were incredibly comfortable, and we were able to sleep very well. We had enough space for our bikes and all our beach stuff in the lockable storage area under the apartment.

Vicinity of the holiday home: Die nahe Brandweer ist überhaupt kein Problem und auch sonst ist die Straße sehr, sehr ruhig gelegen. Zum Meer sind wir mit dem Fahrrad gefahren (Strand Zuid ca. 5 Minuten mit dem Rad), aber auch zu Fuß kein Problem. Und nicht zu vergessen die wunderschöne Dünenlandschaft nördlich und südlich des Ortes und von der Wohnung unmittelbar zu erreichen- sehr wohltuend.
shopping facilities: Zum Bäcker sind's 3 Minuten mit dem Rad und zu Albert Heijn ca. 5 Minuten. Im Ort gibt's dann noch einen Supermarkt, den C1000.
Wir sind mehrere Male nach Alkmaar mit dem Fahrrad gefahren, wo man im Übrigen wunderbar in den kleinen Läden bummeln und einkaufen kann. Hoorn, Volendam, Insel Marken, Amsterdam sind auch wunderbar zu erreichen. Unbedingt zu empfehlen ist auch der Fisch des Hausherren. Sehr lecker!!!
Wir sind mehrere Male nach Alkmaar mit dem Fahrrad gefahren, wo man im Übrigen wunderbar in den kleinen Läden bummeln und einkaufen kann. Hoorn, Volendam, Insel Marken, Amsterdam sind auch wunderbar zu erreichen.
