Welcome to the KlangFarbenWerkstatt in Born – a special place on the edge of the Vorpommersche Boddenlandschaft National Park.
Our comfort area offers four individually furnished rooms, each with its own bathroom and space for 10 people in single beds. Additional sleeping arrangements are possible upon request. This area is therefore especially suitable for families, families who are friends, and small groups who want to spend their vacation together on the Darß. The heart is the cozy lounge and common area with seating group and dining table. The bright rooms, plenty of wood, selected furniture, and art from the region give the house its individual character. WLAN is of course available.
Important regarding our special concept:
The KlangFarbenWerkstatt consists of several spatially separated areas on a spacious property. The comfort area offered here is rented exclusively as a complete unit to one travel group – not room by room to different guests.
At the same time, other spatially separate areas of the KlangFarbenWerkstatt may be used by another group during your stay. For example, the guesthouse opposite or one of our halls may be occupied separately. Your own living and sleeping area with four rooms, private bathrooms, and lounge is reserved exclusively for you.
There is plenty of space to spend time outdoors on the spacious grounds. The KlangFarbenWerkstatt is located directly by the Darßwald and only about 1,000 meters from the bathing area at the Bodden. The West Beach and the Baltic Sea beaches are easily accessible by bicycle, bus, or car.
Shops are only a few minutes' walk away. Gut Darß with its climbing forest, mini golf, and other leisure activities as well as the Darß Festival are also nearby.
The KlangFarbenWerkstatt is ideal for guests who appreciate nature, tranquility, and communal living and are looking for an individual place away from classic holiday resorts.
And one more thing: If the rest of the campus is not otherwise occupied, additional rooms and facilities of the KlangFarbenWerkstatt are available by arrangement. Just ask us – we will be happy to prepare a suitable offer.

The KlangFarbenWerkstatt is located in Born on the Darß, directly adjacent to the Vorpommersche Boddenlandschaft National Park. The spacious grounds are situated on the edge of the village and are surrounded by forest and nature on three sides. Despite the quiet location, shopping facilities and many amenities of the village are within easy walking distance.
It is about 1,000 meters to the Bodden with a bathing area. The Baltic Sea coast with its long sandy beaches is about 7 km away. The especially attractive natural West Beach is easily accessible through the Darß Forest by bicycle, bus, or car.
Born itself offers good infrastructure. EDEKA, ALDI, other shops, a gas station, and a bicycle rental are just a few minutes’ walk from the accommodation. Also within easy walking distance is Gut Darß with a climbing forest, mini golf, play areas, restaurants, and other leisure activities. In summer, the Darß Festival takes place in Born. Directly outside the front door begins the Darß Forest with a widely branched network of cycling and hiking trails. From here, the peninsula can be excellently explored by bicycle. Excursions lead, for example, to the West Beach, to Prerow, Wieck, or to Darßer Ort with lighthouse and Natureum.
The small harbor of Born is also quickly reachable. From there, excursion boats and Bodden cruises depart. Especially in spring and autumn, the Bodden landscape offers impressive nature experiences. In autumn, cranes can be observed in the region, and in the national park, the rutting season of the deer is a special experience.
A bus stop is located about 200 meters away. This makes destinations on the Darß and towards Zingst accessible even without your own car.
The location thus combines two advantages: plenty of peace and nature right by the house – and at the same time short distances to the town, for shopping, to the Bodden, and to numerous leisure activities. For families and small groups, the KlangFarbenWerkstatt is a good starting point to discover Darß, Bodden, and the Baltic Sea without staying in the midst of the tourist hustle and bustle of the large Baltic resorts.
