The town of Malchin is about nine kilometers away and the district and Hanseatic town of Demmin is twelve kilometers away. Activities nearby: The Mecklenburg Lake District is the largest contiguous lake area in Europe and will enchant you with its vast forests, moors and over a thousand lakes, rivers and canals. Almost every type of water sport is possible here, but you can also enjoy the unique nature on long walks or bicycle tours through the gently rolling landscape. From Demmin you can explore the lake and the Peene with a passenger ship, which is a navigable connection to the Baltic Sea. The mouth of the Peene is also known as the "Amazon of the North" and is the last undeveloped river valley in Germany.
