On the 000 m² property with a park-like character, you can enjoy the village atmosphere, listen to the numerous birds in the area, and let the evening end relaxed with a glass of wine by the castle pond.

The cozy, spaciously furnished holiday apartment in country house style offers 45 m² of space for two people, or, if desired, for three guests. Equipment:

The spacious outdoor area offers plenty of space for relaxing, barbecuing, and lingering. Dogs also feel very comfortable thanks to the large run.

Hohen Niendorf is also an ideal starting point for hikes and bike tours. The nearby forest area “Kühlung” invites you to take long walks and trekking tours. On the way towards Rerik are some of the oldest megalithic tombs in Mecklenburg. The booking price already includes all additional costs for:

Hohen Niendorf, a tranquil district of the municipality of Bastorf, lies nestled in the gently rolling landscape of Mecklenburg between the Baltic Sea resorts of Kühlungsborn and Rerik. Far from the hustle and bustle of the large holiday resorts, the village has preserved its original charm. Old avenues, wide fields, small patches of forest, and the proximity to the Baltic Sea shape the special atmosphere of this little corner of the world.
The historic hunting lodge Hohen Niendorf with its castle park forms the center of the village. The idyllic castle pond borders directly on the grounds of the cottage and gives the surroundings their special character. Especially in the evening hours, when the light is reflected in the water and the birds in the park settle down, this place unfolds its very own atmosphere.
The location could hardly be more convenient for vacationers. Both the Baltic Sea resort of Kühlungsborn and the Baltic Sea resort of Rerik are each only about six kilometers away. You can just as quickly reach the unspoiled beaches of Kägsdorf and Meschendorf. This way, you have the choice between fine sandy bathing beaches, lively promenades, small harbors, cliffs, and quiet natural beaches – and in the evening, you return to the relaxed atmosphere of the village.
A special treasure of the region is the nearby Kühlung, Mecklenburg's largest contiguous forest area. The unusually hilly landscape for northern Germany, with its old beech forests, quiet woodland paths, and wide views, in many places is more reminiscent of a low mountain range than of the typical coastal landscape.
Just a few kilometers from Hohen Niendorf lies the Diedrichshagener Berg, the highest elevation of the Kühlung. At 129.8 meters above NHN, it is also the highest point of the entire Mecklenburg mainland coast. From the ridges, there are repeatedly impressive views over forests, fields, and the Baltic Sea. For hikers, nature lovers, and cyclists, the Kühlung is a true paradise. Kilometers of hiking and cycling trails lead through shady beech forests, past clearings, historic manor houses, and unspoiled landscapes.
The region also has much to offer culturally. The traditional seaside resort Heiligendamm, the oldest German seaside resort, is only about 15 kilometers away. The Hanseatic city of Rostock with its historic old town, the city harbor, numerous restaurants and shopping opportunities can be reached after about 30 kilometers.
Despite its quiet location, Hohen Niendorf is easily accessible by transport. Via the L22, you can conveniently reach the village from Kröpelin and are also quickly at the beaches, in the Baltic Sea resorts, or on the excursion routes along the Baltic Sea coast. Hohen Niendorf is thus the ideal place for all who want to enjoy the diversity of the Baltic Sea coast without having to forgo peace, nature, and relaxation. Here, sea, coastal forest, historic cultural landscape, and the tranquility of a Mecklenburg village combine for a holiday far from mass tourism.

After a comprehensive renovation, the apartment has been redesigned with great attention to detail and is now once again available for relaxing holidays. I am especially fond of the peaceful and natural atmosphere of our property. The spacious property with park-like character, the castle pond, and the rural surroundings offer a wonderful counterbalance to the hustle and bustle of everyday life.
