Description
Take a holiday in Småland, the home of Pippi Longstocking and Michel from Lönneberga!
The house STOCKHOLM was renovated in spring 2017, the veranda was renewed in 2018. All modern equipment such as dishwasher, washing machine, dryer, satellite TV, DVD and CD player are available. It also offers our guests a wood-burning stove and a Klafs sauna. The house has enough space for 6 people in three bedrooms. Of course, all beds and mattresses are new.
The holiday home has a fast internet connection (WLAN) and is very child-friendly.
During the high season from June to August, a kayak and a rowing boat are available for free use and invite you to go on excursions on the large lake. Arrival and departure day during the high season is Saturday.

The house is surrounded by a large garden and a covered terrace, where even cooler evenings can be enjoyed in the evening sun. Approx. 200 to the local lake with a swimming area. Just minutes to the supermarket and pharmacy. A kayak and a rowboat ( m) allow nice trips on the big lake. The house is in the village in the municipality of Västervik Ankarsrum near the archipelago of the Baltic Sea. Västervik is favored in a moderate climate region of Sweden with a lot of sunny days, even in the late fall and winter. Versatile family vacation in southern Sweden
The house was perfect for our family of four. We had plenty of space and the kids could run around everywhere. I would like to highlight the very well-equipped kitchen; we could have even baked a cake.
The location was perfect for us. Often we were still by the lake in the evenings or took a ride on our bikes. The Villa Stockholm and Ankarsrum offer everything to make vacation days with children as stress-free as possible and to leave the car parked for a while. Whether it's the COOP for fresh rolls in the morning, a well-maintained bathing area, a nice playground, various fishing opportunities nearby, forest and plenty of nature in direct proximity, and also local places where you can go out to eat in the evening. If you want to go further away, Ankarsrum is also perfectly located. Excursions to Västervik, the moose park in Virum, to Astrid Lindgren in Vimmerby, to Katthulthof, or to surrounding national parks (Norra Kvill)! ) - everything can be easily reached in under an hour.
Communication with the landlord was very friendly, quick, and smooth.
We had a great time and can recommend the holiday home without reservation.

Beautiful holiday in Sweden
On our first holiday in Sweden, we couldn't have chosen better. There was enough space for our family of five inside and outside, and the typical Swedish house was well equipped. We were able to use the rowing boat and the canoe in the nearby Langsjön in wonderful weather. The convenient location to the highway to Vimmerby or Västervik is also great, so that many activities could be reached quickly by car. We especially liked the trips to Hasselö Island, Gränsö, Virum Elk Park, Katthult and the Astrid Lindgren World. All in all, a successful holiday, thank you Mr Rehder.

Perfect summer vacation
The special charm of Haus Stockholm immediately appealed to us. The spacious, typically Swedish house is very cozy and well-maintained. The equipment is perfect, really everything is available. Last but not least, the spacious terrace and the garden in the quiet neighborhood contribute a lot to relaxation and well-being. The location is also highly recommended. The lake, which we reached on foot in a few minutes (in flip-flops and bathing trunks), is beautiful. We explored it daily by swimming and rowing. When my brother, a fisherman, saw our photos of Långsjön, he would have packed his things and come here too. Even though we were well served with the lake, the house, and fast Wi-Fi during the daily 30°C in this century summer, we still went on many excursions. Our "children" (13/16 years old) will remember best the Adventure Park "Nils Holgersson" with its climbing rope garden, the moose safari in the Virum Älgpark (where one of the moose actually kisses you), the picturesque towns of Vimmerby and Västervik, and, a little further away, the seven locks of the Göta Canal in Berg (Linköping). Not to mention the Kleva Gru mine (4°C, how wonderfully cool...). Three days before the return journey, our daughter declared: "It's so awesome here, the house, the lake...actually, I don't want to go home anymore." Thank you very much, Mr. Rehder, everything was perfect from A to Z!

war alles super --- matthias rehder ( vermieter) ist sehr feundlich und ein super gastgeber. wir kommen bestimmt wieder .

Für uns war die Lage perfekt. Oft waren wir abends noch am See oder sind eine Runde mit den Fahrrädern gefahren. Die Villa Stockholm und Ankarsrum bieten alles, um die Urlaubstage mit Kindern so stressfrei wie möglich zu gestalten und das Auto auch mal stehen zu lassen. Sei es der COOP für frische Brötchen am Morgen, eine super gepflegte Badestelle, einen schönen Spielplatz, verschiedene Angelmöglichkeiten in der Nähe, Wald und viel Natur in direkter Nachbarschaft und auch Lokale in denen man abends noch was Essen gehen kann.
Sollte es weiter weg gehen ist Ankarsrum ebenfalls perfekt gelegen. Ausflüge nach Västervik, in den Elchpark in Virum, zu Astrid Lindgren in Vimmerby , zum Katthulthof oder in umliegende Nationalparks (Norra Kvill!!) - alles lässt sich problemlos und unter einer Stunde super erreichen.
Die Kommunikation mit dem Vermieter verlief sehr freundlich, schnell und reibungslos.
Wir hatten eine tolle Zeit und können das Ferienhaus uneingeschränkt weiter empfehlen.
Auch die Lage ist sehr empfehlenswert. Wunderschön ist der See, den wir (in Flip Flops und Badehose) in wenigen Minuten zu Fuss erreichten. Wir erkundeten ihn täglich schwimmend und rudernd. Als mein Bruder, ein Angler, unsere Fotos des Långsjön sah, hätte er am liebsten seine Sachen gepackt und wäre auch hergekommen.
Auch wenn wir bei täglichen 30°C in diesem Jahrhundertsommer mit See, Haus und schnellem W-LAN bestens bedient waren, unternahmen wir doch viele Ausflüge. Am besten in Erinnerung bleiben unseren „Kindern“ (13 / 16 Jahre) der Adventurepark „Nils Holgersson“ mit Kletterseilgarten, die Elchsafari im Virum Älgpark (dort knutscht einen der Elch tatsächlich), die malerischen Städtchen Vimmerby und Västervik sowie, etwas weiter entfernt, die sieben Schleusen des Göta Kanals in Berg (Linköping). Und nicht zu vergessen die Mine Kleva Gru (4°C, wie herrlich kühl…).
Drei Tage vor der Rückreise erklärte unsere Tochter: „Hier ist es so genial, das Haus, der See…, eigentlich möchte ich gar nicht mehr heim.“

Es gibt tolle Details, eine ruhige Nachbar*innenschaft - besonders angetan hat es mir der nahe gelegende See und die Möglichkeit, das zum Haus gehörige Boot und Kanu zu nutzen!
Wir hatten hier einen tollen Urlaub und kommen gern wieder!
Das riesige Trampolin war der Renner für unsere Kinder aber auch die Erwachsenen hüpften fleissig Auf und Ab. Da während unseres Besuches die Zeit der Apfelernte war wurden die garteneigenen Äpfel für Muffins bzw. Apfelmus verwendet.
Emil und Ida (das Kajak und das Ruderboot) wurden auch gebührend in den Langsjön gesetzt und dienten der ein od. anderen Erkundung der näheren Umgebung.
Überragend fanden wir den Badeplatz am See in ca. 200m Entfernung inkl. Nichtschwimmerbereich, Grill, Fussball- und Beachvolleyballplatz. Der ist unserer Meinung nach noch viel schoener als er in den Bildern herauskommt.
Im Haus hat alles funktioniert was das Inserat erwähnt, was auch zu einem entspannten Urlaub beigetragen hat.
Als besonders erwähnenswert ist die Kommunikation mit dem Vermieter Herrn Rehder hervorzuheben, der stets schnell, freundlich und korrekt reagiert hat im Zuge der Buchung sowie des Aufenthalts.
Alles in allem ein wunderbar entspannender Urlaub in einem typischen Schwedenhaus wie wir es aus Astrid Lindgrens Büchern samt Verfilmungen kennen gelernt haben.
Wer genau das sucht, dem können wir die Villa Stockholm ruhigen Gewissens empfehlen.
