Description
A furnished holiday home awaits you, consisting of entrance, shower/toilet, living room, kitchen, 2 bedrooms, cable TV/radio, combi-microwave and a dishwasher. Free internet WIFI WLAN.
Attic: 1 double bedroom and 1 single bedroom, with the possibility of adding a second bed. Between the two bedrooms there is a passageway and in the front bedroom there is a washbasin. A cupboard in which, besides glasses, you will also find games and information material about Egmond aan Zee and the surrounding area.
Cable TV is available and you can use WIFI / WLAN free of charge!
A separate kitchen with all necessary appliances, including a combination microwave, a dishwasher, and a refrigerator.
Cooking is electric. To ensure a good start to the day, a coffee machine is available. Of course, there is a refrigerator with freezer compartment, pans, pots, cutlery, dishes, a toaster, and a grill available. A gas boiler provides hot water and the holiday house has central heating.
In the holiday house, we have an anteroom in the attic with a single bed, with a mattress size of 80x200cm, with the possibility of adding a second bed.
And there is a bedroom with a double bed with washbasin, with a mattress size of 160x200cm. There is a private entrance with a small terrace, with garden furniture. Barbecue facilities are available on the property.
You must bring your own grill!
You can bring your own bicycles or rent them nearby, *300 meters away.
You can park your car near the holiday home. In Egmond aan Zee, a license plate registration system applies for parking.
We cover the parking costs for you for the C+D zone in Egmond aan Zee (approx. 15.00 EUR per day).

Location and surroundings of object
The municipality of Bergen consists of 6 villages: Egmond aan Zee, Egmond aan de Hoef, Egmond Binnen, Bergen, Groet, and Schoorl. Egmond aan Zee is the best-known place of the Egmonds, founded about 1000 years ago as a fishing village, which is still clearly visible in the townscape. Developed as a seaside resort since the beginning of the last century, the resort is very popular with tourists because of its tranquility and healthy sea air. Its quaint, village-like character makes Egmond aan Zee a cozy family seaside resort.
The town itself attracts numerous visitors from the surrounding area with its old town center and the typically Dutch fishermen’s houses. As a landmark, the Jan van Speyk lighthouse stands on the boulevard. The wide sandy beach offers many opportunities for relaxation: the beach pavilions rent out beach chairs, loungers, and windbreaks. You can also go beach hiking, swimming, fishing with rod or net, sailing, and surfing. Outside the season, you can also ride here without restrictions.
Dogs are not allowed on the beach during the day between - o'clock! The seaside resort offers holidaymakers a lot of variety: coffee terraces, restaurants, and in the town center, with the shopping street Voorstraat, where you will find, in addition to a supermarket, something for everyone: shopping opportunities and doctors' offices in the immediate vicinity. In short, there is something for every taste. It takes about 5 minutes to walk to the town center. The shops are easily accessible and open all year round, 7 days a week.
Where the buildings end, the nature reserve begins. The magnificent *North Holland Dune Reserve* is just a stone's throw away. The dunes serve as protection of the mainland from the sea and for drinking water extraction. Here there are optimal cycling and hiking opportunities. A holiday home in Egmond aan Zee offers its visitors the opportunity to explore the protected *North Holland Dune Reserve* and the wildlife living there; the varied dune area offers countless possibilities, where one of the approx. 50-meter-high beach dunes mark the highest elevation in all of North Holland. You can use an annual pass for this unique nature reserve, where Scottish cattle herds and wild horses roam, free of charge!
Worth seeing are the tulip fields at the beginning of spring between the end of March and mid-May, a hike to the water castle ruins and the castle chapel of the former Counts of Egmont (aan den Hoef), the Benedictine abbey, and candles St. Adelbert in Egmond Binnen, the local history museum in Egmond aan Zee, and the shopping cities Amsterdam, the fascinating and diverse capital of the Netherlands, Haarlem, the capital of North Holland, both 35 kilometers from Egmond aan Zee. Anyone who wants to enjoy a bit of culture in addition to leisurely relaxation on the sunny North Sea beach and stroll through a quaint old town with ancient canals doesn’t have far to go either. Only 10 kilometers from your holiday home in Egmond aan Zee lies the cheese city of Alkmaar, where, since 1622, tasting and haggling have taken place according to old tradition at the legendary Alkmaar Cheese Market (Fridays, from mid-March to October). In the center you can also experience a lot of culture, for example at the Stedelijk Museum, the Beer Museum, the Beatles Museum, or the Cheese Museum. Also no problem by bicycle, *12 km. In short, there is something for every taste. And the Beverwijk Bazaar is recommended. It is a large covered market in the city of Beverwijk. In one of the largest market halls in Europe you will find over 300 stalls, 69 restaurants and 700 shops. The market has been open every Sunday from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. since 1984.

Super beautiful house - Small but nice
Our vacation in the holiday home was really great. Everything was clean and nicely furnished! A bit tight with two children, but no problem in good weather!
The location is top. 5 minutes to the beach, 5 minutes to the city!
The landlords were super nice and easily reachable!
We would love to come back!

Beautiful holiday home
My daughter and I were in this holiday home at the beginning of August and we must say... It was simply dreamy... It was very clean and above all super equipped! The short walk to the beach and also to the village was just perfect! We felt very comfortable and didn't want to go home anymore, but you have to! We will definitely come back!

Super beautiful apartment
The first time in Egmond aan Zee. The apartment was beautiful and spacious, it had everything you need for a week of vacation there, especially very high quality, which I liked very much. Cozy bed, great stove for cooking, TV, and a nice terrace with garden furniture. I have been to the Dutch coast many times and this was the nicest apartment so far. The good thing: It's only a 5-minute walk to the beach and to the city as well, everything very close. I had a nice relaxing vacation, would love to come back.
