The room was surprisingly quiet despite the central location and proximity to the train station. The furnishings were completely adequate, and the beds were very comfortable. The breakfast room was inviting and pleasantly quiet even when fully booked.

The hotel is really charming and ideal for a short stay, I visit it every year at Christmas time and enjoy the quiet atmosphere, The bar is perfect for a little drink in the evening, and the staff is always friendly, Sometimes the card doesn't work right away, but that doesn't bother me further,

The hotel does not have its own parking garage, but you can easily park in the parking garage in Freistuhl, which, however, must be paid for by yourself. If you arrive on holidays or outside of regular opening hours, the hotel can open the parking garage for you – just call in advance! The location is perfect, right in the city center, and thanks to the rooms on the 3rd to 5th floors, it is pleasantly quiet. Our room was very spacious and the staff was extremely friendly and helpful. We spent Christmas there and it was simply wonderful.

Overall, we had a pleasant stay. However, the breakfast buffet could use a bit more fresh fruit. The location of the hotel is simply fantastic. Additionally, it is a small, family-run hotel with a very friendly team. We would love to come back!

The shower was a bit small, but overall our stay was pleasant. The location of the hotel near the train station and the parking garage (14 €/day) was very convenient, as we could quickly reach everything important.

The Mercure Hotel Dortmund City is ideally located to explore the German Football Museum. From here, you can quickly reach Signal Iduna Park by subway, where the impressive Borusseum awaits you! Everything comes together perfectly!

The breakfast was okay, but I would have liked more variety; scrambled eggs would have been a great addition, and the rolls were not quite fresh, which I found disappointing. A second coffee machine would have been helpful, as sometimes you had to wait a bit. The staff was friendly, but it would have been nice if they had reset the tables faster. For next time, I would try the bakery downstairs. The location of the hotel was fantastic! We could go directly to the Christmas market and after a few mulled wines, relax and fall into bed. The lady at the reception was super nice and really made our stay enjoyable.

The hotel is easy to overlook, as it is located in a commercial building on Kampstraße on the 3rd, 4th, and 5th floors. The only recognizable marking is the 'Mercure' sign high up. The access to the elevators is inconspicuous, and only a small sticker on the doorbell indicates that you are in the right place. However, the location is ideal, right in the city center and just a short walk from the main train station. The subway station is also just around the corner. The lobby on the 3rd floor is inviting, and the rooms as well as the bathroom are very nice. The price is reasonable, especially since a delicious breakfast is included in the price.

It was a bit loud, but that is understandable because of the construction sites. The windows could use a cleaning. A small refrigerator in the room would have been practical. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The transport connection is excellent, and the location is perfect in the city center.

There are no parking spaces, but the prices in the parking garage are acceptable. For the time from 2:00 PM to 10:45 AM the next day, it is 32 €. That's fine! The price-performance ratio is really good.

A power outlet near the bed would have been practical. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The rooms were generously sized, and I really appreciated the kettle. The bed was comfortable for sleeping. The breakfast was delicious, plentiful, and offered a good selection. The location was excellent, as the subway was just a few steps away. Both the train station and the Westfalenhalle were quickly reachable. Overall, I would definitely come back.
