I visit this small, charming hotel every year at Christmas time. The card for the elevator and the room sometimes took a while to work, but that did not affect my stay. It is a quiet place, ideal for an overnight stay, and I enjoy having a drink at the bar in the evening.

There are no parking spaces nearby, The prices in the parking garage are quite high, For the time from 2:00 PM until the next morning at 10:45 AM, you pay 32 €, That's already quite a lot! But overall a good value for money,

The breakfast was unfortunately not quite to my taste. The selection was somewhat limited; I would have liked scrambled eggs, as that is simply a must for me. The rolls were baked and unfortunately often too dry, causing the crust to fall off. I prefer fresh rolls for a good breakfast. Additionally, there was only one coffee machine, which led to longer waiting times. The staff did not seem to really pay attention to whether the tables were newly occupied, as the settings remained for a long time. I would recommend investing a little more in quality. Fortunately, there was a bakery downstairs that I would try next time. However, the location of the hotel was fantastic! We were in the middle of the action and could visit the Christmas market and after a few mulled wines fall straight into bed – that was really great! The lady at the reception was also very friendly and helpful,

The hotel is easy to overlook, as it is located in a commercial building on Kampstraße and only stands out due to the 'Mercure' sign high up. The access to the elevators is inconspicuous, and only a small sticker on the doorbell indicates that you are in the right place. It is located on the 3rd, 4th, and 5th floors and is very central, near the main train station and a subway station. The lobby on the 3rd floor is inviting, and the room as well as the bathroom are nicely designed. The price is reasonable, especially since a delicious breakfast is included in the price.

The hotel does not have its own parking garage, but you can conveniently park in the nearby parking garage in Freistuhl, which must be paid for yourself. If you arrive on holidays or outside regular opening hours, the hotel can help you open the parking garage – just call in advance. The location is perfect, right in the city center, and since the rooms are on the upper floors, it is pleasantly quiet. Our room was spacious and the staff was extremely friendly and helpful. We really enjoyed our time there over Christmas; it was simply ideal.

The bathtub was really nice, but for people with limited mobility, it could be a bit impractical. The room was in good condition, even though you can tell it's a bit older. A power outlet near the bed would have been desirable. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The rooms were spacious, and I thought it was great that a kettle was available. The bed was very comfortable. The breakfast was delicious, plentiful, and offered a good selection. The location was excellent, as the subway was just a few steps away. The train station and the Westfalenhalle were also quickly reachable. Overall, I would definitely come back.
