While I wouldn't call it a drawback, I did notice that our room had wooden floors, whereas some others seemed to have carpeting, Maybe our room was just a more standard option, but I'm not entirely sure, We arrived in the morning, and with a toddler in tow, we were hoping to check in a bit earlier than the 3 pm policy, We got to the hotel around 1:30 pm and inquired if an early check-in was possible, but the receptionist was quite firm in her response, I appreciate hotel policies, but I was hoping for a more accommodating attitude given our situation, On a positive note, the hotel's location is fantasticright in the heart of the city and close to the train station, Additionally, the breakfast staff were very courteous and eager to assist,

The breakfast room could use a bit of cleaning on the carpet, However, the hotel has a fantastic location right in the heart of downtown, close to the main train station and shopping spots, I recommend requesting a quiet room facing the back, The beds are quite sturdy and comfortable, and while the facilities aren't brand new, they are well-maintained and practical, The hotel has three floors within a large office building and is easily accessible by elevator, Breakfast is enjoyable, and the view is truly impressive,

It is about small details. The hotel does not have its own parking garage, but you can park in the parking garage in Freistuhl, which must be paid for by yourself. If you arrive on holidays or outside of opening hours, the hotel can open the parking garage for you. You just need to call in advance. The hotel is very centrally located in the city center, and since it is on the 3rd to 5th floor, the noise level is pleasantly low. The room was very spacious and the staff was extremely helpful and friendly. We stayed there over Christmas and it was perfect.

The hotel is easy to overlook, as it is located on the upper floors of a commercial building on Kampstraße. The large 'Mercure' sign is the only noticeable feature. One has to look closely to find the entrance door to the elevators, which is very inconspicuous. A small sticker on one of the doorbells indicates that you are in the right place. The hotel is centrally located, just a few minutes' walk from the main train station, and the subway station is just around the corner. The lobby on the 3rd floor is inviting, and the rooms are nicely furnished with an appealing bathroom. The price is reasonable, especially since the delicious breakfast is already included in the price.

The bathtub was really nice, but it could be a bit impractical for people with disabilities. The room was well-maintained, even though it shows that it is older. A power outlet near the bed would have been helpful. The staff was super friendly and helpful. The rooms were spacious, and I thought it was great that a kettle was available. The bed was very comfortable. The breakfast was delicious, plentiful, and offered a good selection. The location was excellent, as the subway was just a few steps away. The train station and the Westfalenhalle were also quickly accessible. Overall, I would definitely come back.
