The house is located in a gated holiday home settlement. Cars are only allowed on the paths for loading and unloading. A secured parking space is available "Auf der Wick".
We rent out our family’s holiday home here only during the times when we are not using it privately. The house is lovingly furnished and, with its high-quality fittings and the well-kept, secluded garden, offers a pleasant atmosphere. From the spacious and bright conservatory you have a view of the greenery and of the terrace with beach chair and wooden furniture.
The house has gas central heating and a bathroom with shower or small bathtub on each floor. The kitchen has an electric stove with ceramic hob and oven. Furthermore, a microwave, a coffee machine, toaster, kettle, blender, and a good selection of dishes and cooking equipment are available.
The living area on the ground floor is furnished with a cozy corner bench and dining table. Next to it, there is a comfortable sofa and two armchairs. The sofa can be used as a sofa bed for two people. The upper floor is used in an open design as a sleeping area and cozy living space. The large windows offer a great view of the nearby Baltic Sea from the comfortable sofa or the two armchairs. From here you can watch the activity on the nearby beach and the boats and ships entering and leaving the Trave. To the south, there is also a covered balcony.
The well-maintained bathing beach can be reached on foot in three minutes and invites you to take long walks to the east. Enjoy your time off in Travemünde and let yourself be captivated by the charm of the house and the proximity to the Baltic Sea.

Priwall – Dreamlike peninsula with dunes and natural beach
Our holiday home is located on the Priwall peninsula in an old, established weekend and holiday home settlement.
The Priwall is an approximately three-kilometer-long peninsula at the mouth of the Trave. It enchants with its unique nature, the dreamy hiking trails, and its beautiful bathing beach with dune landscape. The Priwall is a very special place of untouched nature and originality, nestled between the mouth of the Trave, the Baltic Sea, and the Pötenitzer Wiek.
Our holiday home settlement originated at the beginning of the last century and developed from a campsite, a collection of weekend houses, into an attractive holiday home settlement with direct access to the well-maintained bathing beach with DLRG supervision. Here you can also rent a beach chair. At the eastern end of our holiday home settlement, at the narrowest point between the Baltic Sea and the Pötenitzer Wiek, ran the border to the GDR.
Today, as the state border to Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, it is the beginning of an unspoiled natural beach with gentle dunes and adjacent woods, inviting you to take long walks along the shore.
The well-known Baltic Sea Cycle Route R1 runs through our holiday home settlement. Heading east, you can reach attractive excursion destinations such as Harkensee Castle or Groß Schwansee Manor. You can reach the well-known Baltic Sea resort Bad Doberan after a 19 km drive.
A true paradise for many rare plant and animal species is the nature reserve "Southern Priwall" with the adjacent shallow water zones of the Pötenitzer Wiek, a lagoon-like expansion in the Trave estuary. In the bird sanctuary, rare species rest and breed, and between dunes and forest, beach rye and sea buckthorn grow. Explore the nature reserve on the circular hiking trail "Southern Priwall" and experience the Priwall at its most beautiful!
From our holiday home, a beachside foot and cycle path leads west towards Passathafen. Right at the Südermole, at the beginning of the magnificent bathing beach, a dog beach invites you to enjoy swimming fun with your pet.
At the edge of the large marina, you can visit the impressive four-masted cargo sailing ship Passat. From here, the Norder ferry takes pedestrians and cyclists across to the promenade of Travemünde.
Travemünde, with its many shops, cafés, and restaurants on the Vorderreihe, its extensive promenade, and the wide bathing beach with playgrounds, is, with its liveliness, a beautiful contrast to the tranquil and quiet Priwall. The Brügmanngarten is a central green space and event area directly on the beach promenade of Travemünde. Numerous events take place in and around the concert shell.
At the end of the promenade, a very worthwhile walking and cycling path begins along the Brodtener Steilufer towards Niendorf. The hiking trail route is a scenic highlight with panoramic views. Halfway to Niendorf lies the well-known excursion restaurant Hermannshöhe. From the large terrace you have a fantastic wide view over the Bay of Lübeck. In Niendorf, an idyllic little fishing harbor awaits you. Here, eating fish is a must! Adjacent to it begins the beach path to the popular Baltic Sea resort Timmendorfer Strand.
In the fishing harbor of Travemünde, you can also buy freshly caught fish directly from the numerous fishing boats or enjoy it at the harbor’s edge in one of the restaurants and snack bars.
A boat trip on the Trave directly to the old town island of Lübeck is also recommended. The boat trip starts from Travemünde, passing numerous docks for ferries and freighters, the 900-year-old fishing village “Gothmund”, the old fishing town Schlutup, and countless other sights.
Lübeck is distinguished by its buildings in the Brick Gothic style. These were built in the Middle Ages, when Lübeck was the capital of the Hanseatic League. The landmark of the city is the Holsten Gate made of brick, which was completed in 1478 and served to shield the old town located on an island in the Trave. The St. Mary’s Church, which was rebuilt after World War II, is a brick building erected in the 13th–14th century that served as an architectural model for many Northern European churches. In addition to the impressive architecture and small alleys, Lübeck is also a lively shopping city. In Hüxstraße and Fleischhauerstraße you will find many owner-operated shops and boutiques with special product ranges and numerous small restaurants and cafés.
