Holiday Homes in Finnish Log Cabin Style – Nature Holidays in the Harz Mountains

At the Hotel Harzhaus in Benneckenstein, four cozy holiday homes await you, built in the charming Finnish log cabin style. Each house has a bedroom with a double bed and a combined living room and kitchen with a double sofa bed, providing ample space for a relaxing stay surrounded by nature.

The tranquil location in this health resort makes the property an ideal starting point for hikes and bike tours through the beautiful Harz landscape.

As a guest, you will also benefit from the hotel's amenities:

A modern wellness area with a sauna, steam room, and other relaxation options invites you to unwind. Enjoy regional specialties in the hotel's restaurant with its conservatory, overlooking the wildlife enclosure.

Numerous opportunities are available for sports and leisure activities – including an extensive network of hiking trails, groomed cross-country ski tracks in winter, and a spacious recreation hall with tennis, badminton, bowling, and a fitness area. Sledding is also available right next to the hotel.

A special highlight is the rustic charcoal burner's hut with a barbecue area, as well as the large café garden in summer.

Whether you're looking for an active holiday or relaxation – here you'll experience the Harz Mountains at their most beautiful.

no extra bed for granddaughter available. Need night breathing devices, no nightstand available due to space, also not possible. 12.50 euros for breakfast with packaged sausage. Way too expensive! In the shower drain hair from the previous guest, no water drainage … disgusting. Quiet, beautiful location main house very nice winter garden, which unfortunately cannot be used (to have a drink in the evening). Balconies please urgently separate with privacy screens, no privacy possible. Balconies should be closable by a small gate, because of dogs!!!!

The holiday home is practically and attractively furnished. However, it could be a bit cleaner. Cobwebs and perhaps a damp wipe could be done. Also, the cutlery and dishes could be upgraded a bit. Only two small spoons were available. One of the sockets was half out of the wall, which could be dangerous for children and animals. Unfortunately, the hotel with all the amenities has apparently been closed for some time. A shame for this beautiful property. All in all, a nice accommodation, unfortunately, a bit of attention to detail is lacking.
