Location and surroundings of object

The house is located in a very quiet edge-of-village setting between the hilly and lake landscape of Holstein Switzerland on the one hand and the Baltic Sea coast with great sandy beaches and cliffs at Hohwacht Bay on the other. The distance to the cliffs by footpath is approx. 2 km, to the fine sandy Sehlendorf or Weißenhäuser beach approx. 3 km each, easily accessible by car or bicycle. At the Weißenhäuser Strand holiday center (4 km) there are sports and entertainment options, 9/27-hole golf course near Hohwacht (6 km).
The village of Döhnsdorf is located about halfway between the two small towns of Oldenburg in Holstein and Lütjenburg (each approx. 10 km) with good shopping facilities.
There, as well as in the seaside resort of Hohwacht, there are many cultural offerings; in summer also on the impressive lake stage in Eutin (25 km) or at the Schleswig-Holstein Music Festival at various locations in the surrounding area. Above all, however, you are in the right place if you are looking for peace and relaxation and a variety of excursion options on foot or by bicycle. Schleswig-Holstein is a land of bicycles! With many good small country roads with little or no car traffic. To watch ships, go to Kiel (45 km) or Lübeck (55 km) or to Puttgarden on Fehmarn (35 km) on the Vogelfluglinie to Scandinavia.
