Your holiday home is part of a former small farm near Lake Altwigshagen, with a very large plot of land, an annex, and a barn. Built around the mid-19th century as a half-timbered house, it has been rebuilt and extended several times, once almost burned down, and is outwardly rather unremarkable in its current state, but inside it offers an all the more charming accommodation for your (family) holiday. In addition to the modern materials used until a few years ago, we have recently partially exposed the still existing timber framework and restored the clay infill or applied new clay plaster. The floorboards have been sanded, including traces of woodworm.
Free Wi-Fi is available via the modern fiber optic connection. Solar-powered blinds are installed on the street side.
However, the highlight of the holiday home is the emerging garden with approx. 3,000 sqm of space.

The village of Altwigshagen with its idyllic bathing lake is located in the Oderhaff Nature Park, easily accessible by car from the federal highway 109 via a spur road. There is no through traffic on the cobblestone main street, as it only leads to a few smaller villages and then disappears into the area of the Große Friedländer Wiese, a paradise especially for bird lovers.

Erholung in der Gartenoase
Wir hatten einen rundum erholsamen Urlaub in Altwigshagen. Wer dem Alltag entfliehen und die Ruhe genießen möchte, ist hier genau richtig.
Die Unterkunft war sehr sauber und mit allem ausgestattet, was man für einen angenehmen Aufenthalt benötigt. Besonders begeistert hat uns der große Garten, der für unseren Hund einfach ideal war, viel Platz zum Toben und Auslauf.
Der Vermieter war ausgesprochen freundlich, hilfsbereit und zuvorkommend. Schon vor der Buchung wurden unsere Fragen schnell und zuverlässig beantwortet, sodass wir uns von Anfang an gut aufgehoben fühlten.
Der Altwigshagener See ist in weniger als zwei Minuten zu Fuß erreichbar und lädt zu entspannten Spaziergängen ein. Außerdem gibt es einige Ausflugsziele in der Umgebung, darunter der Tierpark Ueckermünde, den man auch mit Hund besuchen kann, das Stettiner Haff in Ueckermünde, das Ukranenland, Anklam usw. Wer eine etwas längere Autofahrt nicht scheut, kann sogar einen Ausflug an die Ostsee unternehmen. Empfehlen können wir den Hundestrand in Lubmin - etwa eine Stunde mit dem Auto von Altwigshagen entfernt.
Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt sehr genossen und können die Unterkunft weiterempfehlen, besonders für alle, die mit Hund reisen und Ruhe in der Natur suchen.
