The property is located on the edge of a small nature reserve in the state capital Schwerin, in the district of Zippendorf. It is only a few minutes’ walk to the beach.
A beautiful cycling and hiking trail along Lake Schwerin (approx. 5 km) leads to the Schwerin World Heritage Castle and the old town.
The idyllically situated Pinnower See, with its crystal-clear water and surrounding beech forests, is about 4 km away.
The beaches of the Baltic Sea island of Poel can be reached quickly via the A14 motorway. The Schwerin public transport can be reached within a few minutes’ walk.

Beautiful house with potential
We experienced the stay with mixed feelings. The positive aspect was that the host was very attentive beforehand and addressed our needs. Since we relied on accessibility, he even built a small ramp for access to the bedroom, which we greatly appreciated. Unfortunately, the condition of the house upon arrival did not meet our expectations. On and in the furniture, shelves, and even in drawers, there was dust on the floors everywhere, dust and sand and dead insects, so we initially had to clean ourselves. The kitchen and shower also appeared not cleaned or only superficially cleaned. Additionally, there were several plants in the house with unkempt or moldy soil, which we placed outside. The description should be revised in some places from our perspective. Accessibility was not given upon closer inspection, as there are already steps at the entrance and inside the house. We knew this beforehand and could prepare for it, yet the signage is misleading from our perspective. Additionally, there was a lack of sufficient seating at the dining table as well as dishes for six people. It was enough for us, as we were traveling as a group of four. The house is located directly on a four-lane road. The traffic noise did not disturb us, but those seeking peace should consider this when booking. Otherwise, the house has an excellent starting point for culture and nature. Public transport and shopping options, restaurants, and the beach are reachable on foot or by transport in a few minutes. It's a pity, because with a more thorough cleaning and a more realistic description of the accommodation, the stay could have been significantly better.
