Krakow am See is located in the heart of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, directly on one of the most beautiful lakes of the Mecklenburg Lake District. The idyllic town is a state-recognized climatic health resort and belongs to the Nossentiner/Schwinzer Heide Nature Park – one of the most charming landscapes in northern Germany with extensive forests, clear lakes, and a diverse animal and plant world. Thanks to the motorway connection Berlin–Rostock (A19), Krakow am See is easily and quickly accessible both from the south and from the Baltic Sea coast.
The town center of Krakow am See is about 2 kilometers from the holiday bungalow. Here you will find several shopping options (Aldi, Edeka, Netto, beverage market, bakery) as well as cozy restaurants and cafés. Directly from the house, cycling and hiking trails lead along Lake Krakow, inviting you to relaxing excursions in nature. Lake Krakow offers numerous bathing spots in beautiful natural surroundings. If the bathing jetty in front of the house is not enough, you can reach the next bathing spot with a sandy beach at Wadehäng in just about 10 minutes on foot – or alternatively, comfortably by boat. For families with children, the swimming facility at Jörnberg is a popular destination: it offers a slide, diving board, lifeguard, and snack bar, and can be reached by bicycle in about 12 minutes or by car in about 8 minutes. On the lake, there is a motor limit for boats of a maximum of 12 km/h, which ensures a calm and relaxed atmosphere – ideal for all those seeking recreation.
In addition to swimming and boating, the region offers excellent opportunities for hiking, cycling, and fishing. Fishing permits can be obtained both from the tourist information office in Krakow am See and online via the city website. There you will also find further information about events, leisure activities, and current tips concerning Lake Krakow.

Das Grundstück und der Bungalow waren sauber und machten einen gepflegten Eindruck. Das Bootshaus ist nicht besonders
gepflegt, bedarf mal einer Reinigung und

Vacation from 05/17 to 05/22/2026
It was very nice here. Everything clean and tidy. The holiday home is very well equipped. We lacked nothing. It is also nice that dogs are welcome here. There was even a treat upon arrival. Unfortunately, you don't always find that. The only downside is that a drone is launched next door every day around 3:00 PM. You feel quite watched. But all in all, a beautiful vacation. Too quickly over.
