Description

Welcome to the holiday home "Witt Huuske". We have lovingly converted our grandparents' former house into two holiday apartments. The front part of the house offered here has 67 m2 and features a separate living, dining, and sleeping area, as well as a reading corner. The holiday apartment was rated 5 stars by the German Tourism Association. The apartment is ideal for two people, but up to three can be accommodated without any problems. A highlight is the polished wooden beam ceiling from 1890, which, in contrast with the urban furnishings, creates a harmonious atmosphere. The real oak parquet flooring is heated from below and, together with the floor-to-ceiling oak windows, creates a healthy indoor climate. We have made every effort to design everything the way we ourselves would like to spend a holiday. High-quality furnishings and cleanliness are especially important to us. The terrace on the eastern side of the house can be accessed both from the kitchen and from the living room. Here, a private garden area, a sun lounger, a grill, and a table with chairs are available. The house is extremely quietly located.

The living room is openly connected to the kitchen and has a pull-out sofa bed with an armchair. For entertainment, in addition to a 43″ HD smart TV including from the streaming provider Netflix and a Bluetooth audio system, there is also a selection of outstanding book titles from world literature and award-winning Blu-ray films available.

The kitchen with table and chairs is high-quality equipped, so that you can also cook for yourself if you wish. Refrigerator with freezer compartment, induction stove, oven, microwave, electric kettle, filter coffee machine, toaster, fine dishes & glasses, tea set, cutlery and much of what you need for cooking, such as pots, pan, sieve, blender, etc. The basic supply of dish towels, dishwasher tabs, toilet paper, kitchen roll, garbage bags and much more is free of charge. The modern bathroom features a walk-in rain shower, separate bathtub, towel warmer, cosmetic mirror, hairdryer, and extensive basic amenities.

You can conveniently park your vehicle in your own parking space, and for electric cars we offer a practical 11KW wallbox. In a separate laundry room you will find a washing machine, drying rack, ironing board & iron, as well as cleaning supplies. For the little guests, a crib and a high chair are available. The entire house is designated as a non-smoking area and offers an allergy-friendly environment. Long-term rentals are possible, which is especially interesting for business travelers. The 50 Mbit Wi-Fi is free of charge. A safe is available in the bedroom. Bringing dogs is possible for a fee and by arrangement.

The village of Campen is very quiet and relaxing and is especially suitable for travelers who find the hustle and bustle of the fishing village Greetsiel too much. But from Campen, these places can be reached in short bike or car rides. But Campen itself also has much to offer. On the nearby dike stands the tallest lighthouse in Germany. Long walks at sunset are wonderful. And not far from the holiday apartment is the East Frisian Agricultural Museum in two historic Gulf farmhouses. A special atmosphere that breathes history. A tea room there invites you for tea, coffee, and cake. We look forward to your visit!

Location and surroundings of object

The house is located in the Krummhörn village of Campen, within sight of the dike and the Campen lighthouse. From the end of the A31, it is only a 10-minute drive to here. The village is quiet and relaxing. In its center stands a church from the 13th century. Right next to it you will find the East Frisian Agricultural Museum in two historic Gulf farmhouses. It takes 5-10 minutes by bicycle to reach the dike with the tallest lighthouse in Germany. Bicycle paths to the tourist hotspot Greetsiel are also available, as well as a small shop where you can get rolls in the morning. It is a 15-minute drive by car to the seaport city of Emden. Here, in addition to a museum harbor and numerous attractions such as the art gallery, there is also a wide selection of gastronomic offerings.

The “Witt Huuske” is a lovingly restored residential house from 1890. It is located in the village of Campen in the Krummhörn, within sight of the dike and the Campen lighthouse. Our grandparents used to live here. So, not only the house, but also the village of Campen holds many childhood memories for us. Professionally, we work in film production and architecture. We volunteer to support the preservation of the agricultural museum in Campen, not far from the holiday home. We do not run the holiday home as a business model but as a passion.
