Description

At Friesenhuus Carolinensiel No. 1, enjoy a fresh sea breeze and a wonderful sunrise on the spacious terrace while having breakfast.
The stylishly furnished apartment is located on the ground floor of the house and offers enough space with 56m² for a total of 4 people. After a comprehensive core renovation, the newly designed apartment has been available to vacation guests since 2023, who are looking for a modern, maritime flair and upscale comfort. The Friesenhuus No. 1 is the largest vacation apartment in the building and features a spacious hallway with a coat rack, leading to a modern bathroom with a toilet, sink, walk-in shower, and hairdryer. The master bedroom is generously sized and offers a direct view of the dike. It is furnished with a double bed (180x200) with an open foot end. The second bedroom has a bunk bed (each 90x200) available. Both bedrooms have a closet and blackout options.

The centerpiece of the apartment is the bright and spacious living and dining area, totaling 23m². Cozy armchairs and a couch invite you to relax. Board games, a flat-screen TV, DVD player, and Hi-Fi system provide entertainment. The dining area accommodates 4 people and is directly adjacent to the apartment's separate kitchen. The high-quality kitchen is fully equipped and includes a dishwasher, an oven with a ceramic hob, a microwave, a large refrigerator with a separate freezer compartment, a coffee machine (either pad or filter), a kettle, a toaster, and much more. Through the large window, you can also look directly at the furnished terrace with a sun umbrella while cooking, and you can use it as a pass-through for a cozy outdoor breakfast. For communal use, the garden is available with a barbecue area and expansive lawn. From the spacious entrance area of the house, you have access to a free laundry and drying room. You can park your car directly next to the house on the permanently reserved parking spaces.
Additionally, there is a free and lockable bicycle garage including an e-bike charging station available for our guests at the property. The detached house "Friesenhuus Carolinensiel" is located directly behind the dike, in a quiet cul-de-sac and is surrounded by a large lawn. The Harle with its idyllic promenade, the historic drawbridge "Friedrichsschleuse" and the middle landing stage of the historic side-wheel steamer Concordia II is only 100m from the house. Numerous playgrounds (300m) and the spa center "Cliner Quelle" (350m) with indoor pool, saltwater pool, sauna landscape, and various wellness offers are just a few steps from the front door. Due to the central location, the historic center of Carolinensiel with the idyllic museum harbor, or within 10 minutes the North Sea beach of Harlesiel, can be reached on foot. Absolutely recommended!

We spent a lovely week as a group of four in the very well-maintained house with a garden in a quiet location. The apartment was very clean, the kitchen perfectly equipped, and the contact person was extremely friendly and helpful.

New Year Transition

The apartment was very well furnished. The only problem was the small room. It was overloaded with furniture, so that you constantly bumped into something. As a 71-year-old, it was not comfortable for me. I can't imagine that children feel comfortable in the tight space. The television in the living room could be bigger (I have a visual impairment).

Neatly modern furnished holiday apartment

The vacation home pleased us. It was quietly located, spacious, modernly furnished, and new.

However, for example, a teapot, sturdy dishcloths, and kitchen towels for drying were missing. The tabs for the dishwasher were too few with only 2 pieces. Towels were sufficiently available since there were only three of us. When it rained, it dripped onto our terrace from the balcony above because it was only constructed with boards. Therefore, we found the price of just under €1000 for 7 days somewhat overpriced. Nevertheless, we felt comfortable.

Beautiful days in a modern apartment

We had a few nice days in the modern vacation apartment. We extensively used the apartment with five people, as the weather was unfortunately very poor.

The kitchen is well-equipped, everything you need is there - a teapot would be nice for the Frisian tea, but not a must. The children's room and the bathroom are rather small, but everything is manageable, even with our wheelchair child. The construction site in the neighborhood makes surprisingly little noise. The house is quietly located - directly opposite a horse stable, there was always something to watch in the mornings and evenings.
