Description
The holiday home "Zur schönen Nixe auf Nordstrand" is in a dream location, exactly 150 metres from Nordstrand's most beautiful beach, Fuhlehörn.
This holiday home consists of two separate, very similar flats, each with its own charm. The lower one is a little cosier, the upper one is airier and the view from the small windows would be directly out to sea if it weren't for the dyke.
The house is ideal for fairly close friends or for families with slightly older children, so you can spend time together and still enjoy your own space.
The downstairs flat has a bedroom with a 1.60 metre double bed and a spacious wardrobe. The bunk under the stairs offers another place to sleep and cosy up. If you are approx. 1.80 m tall and don't have too high expectations of your sleeping accommodation, you will be well bedded here. Theoretically, a fifth person could also sleep there.
The small kitchen is equipped with a fridge, toaster, coffee machine, a small electric espresso cooker, a milk frother, a three-ring ceramic hob, a mini oven and a golden tap. A good television, a fine music system with Bluetooth, a fine selection of literature and games are at your disposal.
A golden staircase takes you to the almost identical flat with the same furnishings, naturally with its own kitchen and golden bathroom. However, there is no separate bedroom here, but a sleeping alcove, from which you can sit up in bed and look out over the dyke and into the sky. Instead of a bunk, there is a reading corner with a comfortable shell armchair.
A small note for our very tall guests: the ceiling height in the upper flat is 2.07 metres.

Location and surroundings of object
If you are looking for peace and quiet and empty beaches - even in the high season - this is the place for you. Surrounded by the famous coastal resorts, this peninsula lies hidden at the edge of the world. Peaceful and friendly, it slumbers away and welcomes every visitor with a wide sky, salty air and a simple "Moin" that says more than a thousand words elsewhere. Sheep move like clouds across a green sky on the dykes and on the horizon the Halligen, tiny islands, shimmer in the sea. When the sun sets, the green island is bathed in a reddish light and at night the starry sky is endless. In addition to the many mudflats with all their treasures, Neptune's front garden is home to salt marshes and a diverse flora and fauna. Hidden beneath the seabed is Rungholt, the Atlantis of the North Sea. This legendary city sank during the great flood of 1362 and even today, treasures from this rich civilisation are still being washed up at low tide. Many finds indicate that Rungholt was located between Fuhlehörn beach and Hallig Südfall, just a few metres from the holiday home. It is said that the bells of Rungholt ring during storms, but this could also be sailor's yarn.
Those who like it a little more active and are looking for more than just the quiet, beautiful, unspoilt nothingness will also get their money's worth here:
From the most beautiful beach in Nordstrande, Fuhlehörn, the Wadden coachmen set off on their excursion to the Hallig Südfall, a journey there is also possible on foot. Many excursions around the mudflats start here. This family beach is ideal for families with small children, as the water does not rise too high even at high tide and the beaches are empty even in the middle of the main season.
The ferries to the Halligen islands, the seal banks or the islands of Pellworm, Amrum, Sylt, Föhr and even Helgoland depart around 2.7 kilometres from the "beautiful mermaid".
Of course, there are also plenty of cafés, restaurants and snack bars on Nordstrand where you can eat like the birds. And if a North German weather low should ever hit the island, a Pharisee or two or three and Friesentorte are sure to cheer you up and the sun will shine (for you).

additional information about rental price:
On request, five people can also stay overnight here, but this does not change the price. The fifth person may/must/should/can stay overnight in the alcove. This is a normal bed, but it is slightly slanted at the foot end. Up to a height of 1.80 metres, this should not be a problem. I have already seen many grown-up! Guests fighting over this favourite spot. All Harry Potter or, alternatively, medieval fans will be perfectly bedded here. |
