Our large vacation apartment, renovated in 2024, is located on the sunny side of a slope directly next to the recreation area "Verschönerung" in a very quiet location with always fresh forest air.
It has a separate entrance and is suitable for 2 to a maximum of 6 people. It is very spacious.
The living area
The large living room consists of two areas with two seating arrangements. The smaller part invites you to browse the book wall and watch TV. The front part has the character of a winter garden. With its 7-meter-wide window front, you have a view over the garden and forest. Here you can listen to the sounds of the forest on the sofa or eat, play, or enjoy a glass of wine at the large table. A wide glass door leads to the large terrace.
The Kitchen
The eat-in kitchen is fully equipped, for example, with a large refrigerator, stove and oven, dishwasher, microwave, coffee and espresso machine, etc. Sufficient cooking and eating utensils are available.
From the kitchen, you can directly access the large terrace. Here you can sunbathe or enjoy your meal.
The Sleeping Area
Three bedrooms promise you a peaceful night in the fresh air:
• one with a large king-size box spring bed (1.80m), and direct access to the garden
• one with two single box spring beds
• one with a single bed and the option to set up a folding bed. Here you also have a patio door to the garden.
A large and a small bathroom offer two showers, three sinks, a bathtub, and two toilets. (Towel, bath towel, and bed linen are included in the price.)
The garden
The large (sunbathing) lawn offers sun and shade in the summer. Our large natural garden is bordered by a stream. The garden gate leads to the premium hiking trail Basaltschleife. The Rheinsteig is only 150 m away. Parking and storage options
There are parking spaces directly on our residential street; you can store your bicycle in our garage and charge the e-bike battery. The entire apartment has free (usually fast) Wi-Fi.
"Waldluft" is a non-smoking apartment.

Our vacation apartment "Waldluft" is located on the outskirts yet very central: it's less than a 10-minute walk to the historic city center and the Rhine. The Rhine Cycle Route, the bus stop, and the ferry to the Ahr Valley are just minutes away. The train station (towards Cologne, Koblenz) and the terminal station of the steep route into the Westerwald are about 1 km away.
There are (free) parking options on our residential street. Linz, the "Colorful City", not only offers picturesque photo opportunities, but also a swimming pool close to the center, a tennis court for guests, and two fitness centers – all within a few minutes’ reach.
Linz is an ideal starting point for hiking, biking, and car tours to the Rhine Valley, the Westerwald, and the Volcanic Eifel. Many destinations are easily accessible by public transportation. In a short time, you can reach:
- the Siebengebirge (with Drachenfels, Ölberg, and Petersberg)
- the Ahr valley, even after the "Ahr catastrophe," worth several trips, with steep vineyards, small wine villages, and many attractions
- the volcanic area around the lake and the World Heritage Site Maria Laach, the World Heritage Site Limes with the "Roman World"
- the world city of Cologne, Bonn and Koblenz with the Moselle confluence at Deutsches Eck
• numerous museums of international rank
- a large outlet center and the largest German shopping business park
- several attractive wellness facilities

Heimelich
Since the weather was very bad, we spent a lot of time in the apartment. Very well suited for 5 people: large and well-equipped kitchen, 2 modern bathrooms, huge living room, cozy bedrooms. Everything is easily accessible: 10 minutes to the train, 1 minute in the forest, 5 minutes to the Rhine and in the old town with bakery, supermarket, etc. Everything is great.

Pure relaxation!
I spent a weekend in the vacation apartment with my friends, and we felt really comfortable from the first minute.
Mr. Latz welcomed us very warmly and gave us plenty of tips for restaurants and sights in the area, so we had great excursions and ate really delicious food!
In the mornings, we always had breakfast at the long dining table in the living room with a view of the forest, and in the evenings, we relaxed on the sofas. One can recover incredibly well there! Additionally, one has the feeling that one lives completely alone there, because the apartment is not visible and is oriented towards the back (to the forest).
My friends and I currently all live in big cities and we really enjoyed the peace and nature.

Dream apartment!
We had a very nice Pentecost weekend in 'Waldluft'. The apartment is large, bright, and has very good furnishings and atmosphere. There is sufficient information about the region available in the apartment, as well as many other sights and reading materials worth seeing. On the terrace or in the garden, you can enjoy the sun, the peace, and the chirping of the birds. Additionally, very friendly and communicative hosts... We were completely satisfied!

Beautiful, quiet accommodation with perfect location
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Waldluft holiday apartment! The accommodation is ideal for up to five people and is located in a wonderfully quiet environment – perfect for relaxing. At the same time, the old town of Linz am Rhein is just a few minutes away, so you can quickly be in the middle of the action.
Whether hiking, cycling, or cultural excursions – there is plenty to discover and do in the area. We would especially like to highlight the extremely friendly and helpful landlords, who made our stay even more enjoyable with their warm nature.
We can absolutely recommend the apartment – for families, friends, or anyone looking for peace without wanting to miss proximity to the city. We would gladly come back!
