Location and Surroundings
Sint Maartenszee is a village in the municipality of Schagen in the province of North Holland. It is located north of Petten and south of Callantsoog on the North Sea and relies predominantly on tourism. Only about 45 inhabitants live permanently in the village along Zeeweg and Westerduinweg streets. The village is located near Sint Maartensvlotbrug and on the edge of the nature reserve "Het Wildrijk," known for its wild-growing hyacinths and for the "Duinrellenproject" initiated in 2010, which supplies the area with clean water from the dunes. Numerous campgrounds and bungalow parks are situated on the border of Sint Maartensvlotbrug as well as directly in the village. North of St. Maartenszee, the nature reserve "Zwanenwater" extends up to Callantsoog. Here lies one of the largest natural beach lakes in Europe. A small place between the North Holland Canal and the dunes—the perfect holiday spot for families! The place itself has only a few inhabitants but offers its guests several recreational facilities, restaurants, and the necessary shops for daily needs (partly seasonally open!). The amusement park "De Goudvis" right by the dunes, with mini-golf, trampoline, a huge air cushion, and an adventure playground, indoor play paradise, even for the very little ones, offers everything to make children's hearts beat faster. The dunes in front of Sint Maartenszee are about 900 meters wide, interlaced with bicycle and hiking trails, which lead to the magnificent sandy beach. In the middle of the dunes, there is a small lake. Flower fields, nature reserves with rare plants and bird species (the largest spoonbill colony in Europe), beautiful cycling paths, fishing opportunities, well-maintained gastronomy, as well as the proximity to the old cities of Alkmaar, Medemblik, Volendam, Amsterdam, and the seaside resorts of Petten, Callantsoog, Bergen, and Schoorl, which are also easily accessible by bicycle, offer a holiday that leaves nothing to be desired.

Very well-equipped and cozy holiday home
We have been here several times and have always felt very comfortable, our grandchildren and the little dog as well. The beach and the sea are great. There are many excursion options in the area for young and old.

Vacation in Sint Maartenszee 2025
Very beautiful, comfortable holiday home in Park Wildrijk. Here, relaxation is the order of the day. Super equipped with a kitchen that includes everything. The lovingly designed and well-maintained garden also invites you to relax after an outing. We have spent vacation days here several times and felt comfortable from the very first day.
You can quickly reach the beautiful beach by bike, where our four-legged friend also has fun.

Great holiday home
We have already been to this beautiful vacation home twice. The location and amenities are great, nothing is missing, and there is enough space for 4 adults with a dog. The next vacation is already in planning. We can recommend this vacation home without reservation!

Feel-good house
The house and the surroundings are top-notch! For decades, we have spent several vacations in St. Maartenszee and have also witnessed the development of this house: it has improved a lot, although we have always felt comfortable there. Nothing is missing here, and it is an excellent starting point for exploring the area. The next vacation is already booked, and our dog is looking forward to it too!
