Our holiday home is located in "Haus im Wald" - and the name says it all: At the gates of the national park, overlooking the sunny Ilz Valley, the "Forest House", extensively renovated in 2021, invites you to linger.
A children's playground is within immediate reach, and cycling and hiking trails start right at the doorstep.
The village square of Haus im Wald is 400 meters away on foot, where there is an inn with a butcher's shop as well as a small supermarket with a bakery. The spa town of Grafenau (8km) offers numerous attractions, such as a spa adventure park with a wave pool, an ice rink, and one of the longest summer toboggan runs. The "Bavarian Forest" National Park features a wildlife area and a treetop path for explorers young and old!
The proximity to Passau with its fantastic old town and the border near our neighbors in the Czech Republic provide great variety in the surroundings of your holiday home.
