Description
Our small holiday home is picturesquely nestled in the Grafenau district of "Haus im Wald". The house is situated directly above the romantic Ilz valley on a hill. It is spoiled by the sun all day long and offers a dreamlike view over the gently hilly landscape of the southern Bavarian Forest.
The bungalow is approx. 80 m² in size, surrounded by a garden of approx. 400 m², offers a small kitchen, spacious living and dining room, a bathroom and two bedrooms with 4 beds. The wide front of the house faces south. You can walk around the house with the sun from morning to evening on the surrounding terrace and enjoy the beautiful sunset in the evening.
A parking space is about 150 m from the house. The house can be parked close by for loading and unloading.

Layout: Size approx. 80 sqm, spacious living and dining area, 1 bedroom with double bed (180 cm wide), 1 bedroom with 2 single beds (each 90 cm wide).
Kitchen: fully equipped, crockery, glasses, cups, cutlery, pots, pan, ceramic hob with four plates, oven, refrigerator with freezer compartment, small dishwasher, coffee machine incl. filter, kettle, toaster
Living and dining room: flat-screen TV, small board game collection and small book collection
Terrace + garden: 1 round folding table with 4 chairs + 1 table with a wooden bench and 2 small armchairs, parasol, ironwood bench
The house is very well maintained, the furnishing in country house style, bathroom in original condition. Lots of wood and cosiness.
Important note: Please bring your own bed linen, sheets and towels!

Parking space number 46 is approximately 150 meters away from the house, from there a short walk uphill to the house. For loading and unloading, parking close to the house is possible.
Shopping
A bakery, butcher, and a small Edeka supermarket with a wide range of products can be reached by car in 3 minutes or by foot in about 7 minutes. Additional shopping options (Rewe, Edeka, Aldi, various bakeries, Rossmann, DM drugstore, beverage market, etc.) are plentiful in Grafenau, Perlesreut, or Tittling and can be quickly reached by car.
Leisure activities for young and old right by the house
A small playground is about 150 meters away, a larger playground is around 250 meters away, and a table tennis court is about 150 meters away.

With this card (if desired, also available as a QR code via email), you can enjoy approximately 130 free services. The guest card is linked to the mandatory visitor's tax, which we automatically transfer to the municipality of Grafenau on your behalf. The visitor's tax is 3.00 Euros per night for travelers aged 16 and above, and 1.60 Euros per night for youths aged 6 to 16. You are required to pay the visitor's tax in addition to the rental price (along with the remaining payment for the accommodation). Cancellation terms:
- You will be refunded half of the booking amount minus the cancellation fee, if you cancel the booking at least 7 days before the planned check-in until 12 o’clock midday CET (Central European time). For cancellations which are made less than 7 days before check-in there will be no refund.

Great location for many trips and hikes...
Unfortunately, we only had a short week, but we really enjoyed these seven days and we would have had several more destinations to visit, which we will save for our next stay.
The accommodation was absolutely spotlessly clean and really equipped with everything you need for a pleasant stay, but it wouldn't have bothered us if there had been bed linen available on site...
We will gladly come back and hope that by then there will also be a grill and Wi-Fi available as part of the amenities :-)
Many thanks also to the very friendly H. family for the smooth key handover as well as the valuable tips for activities and culinary delights.
The contact with the landlords was just as positive, with very quick answers by email and phone... We will gladly come back.

Wonderfully quiet location, ideal starting point for excursions.
The holiday home was very well equipped for our needs. Quiet and idyllically located with a beautiful view. On clear days, you can even see the mountains in the distance. The outdoor seating area is very inviting to linger, especially during sunrise and sunset, as well as under the breathtaking starry sky. There are numerous excursion destinations in the area for families with children, couples, and hiking enthusiasts. Our hosts made great efforts to make us feel comfortable.
