The various types of villas are located in groups spread over the small park. You can choose from five variants: 4-pers. detached villas (NL-9629-03 and NL-9629-04), a semi-detached 4 person variant (NL-9629-05) and two 6-pers. variants (NL-9629-06 and NL-9629-07). The garden borders the water at all villas, except for NL-9629-07. At NL-9629-07 the living room is on the first floor, so you have a beautiful view of the yacht harbour. All villas from type -07 and -03 have a roof terrace with garden furniture.

Your own sloop during your holiday! On the banks of the 350 hectare Schildmeer and at the edge of the village of Steendam, you will find Villapark Schildmeer. From the park you have access to 600 km of navigable water nearby. Fantastic for taking boat trips through the natural surroundings and the many charming villages of Groningen. All of this with your own 6 person sloop, which you can use during a stay from April to October. But there is more than water. It is possible to hit a ball on a brand new golf course (9 holes) 250 metres from the park. The area has fortresses, churches and museums and forms a beautiful area to take walking and cycling excursions. Thanks to the location in the heart of the province, there are various tourist attractions at hand, such as the famous hanging kitchens in Appingedam and the historic fortress town of Bourtange. You can't miss a visit to the bustling town of Groningen. Everyone looking for peace and quiet or who just can't get enough of water sports, this small holiday park feels like home. You'll have a villa equipped with all comforts. You can take windsurfing and kitesurfing lessons and hire kayaks. Children can play on the playground and the sandy beach.

Villa park Schildmeer is located at the edge of a large lake and various waterways. This holiday park is located directly on a 9 hole golf course. From the end of April to the end of October you have your "own" 6 person sloop!

For a stay between April 20 and October 30 you have a 6 person sloop, with which you can explore the Groningen waters. The sloop is included in the rental of a villa (including 1full tank of gas and excluding service/instruction costs EUR 50,00). You can moor at your own villa. There is a deposit for this of EUR 115.

You pay a 20 EUR deposit for the gate key.

The park offers various classes for wind and kite surfing through Surfcenter.nl. You an also hire kayaks. More information via www.surfcenter.nl.

We were now twice in the autumn break and are, as well as last time quite satisfied. You can tell that the houses are older and that one or the other thing would have to be renewed. On the whole it is clean, but I would redecorate the bathroom, because the joints are quite dirty and even in the shower it begins to mold on small corners, which should not be € 100 for the night. Also, the beds, or the mattresses could be a lot better, that's just too much for me 08/15 and the price just better sein.But otherwise we were again very satisfied, friendly staff, a beautiful environment with the lake and always again great with the boat with what is included (50 € is due for the boat, which is ok, but it should be mentioned in the incidental costs at Bevilla times, which are always missing in the costs to be paid locally, so like the tourist tax) but we will come back.

There are some things I did not like. What annoyed me the most is the lack of costing on the part of Bevilla. It said that a remaining amount of about 84 € would be to pay on the spot, good and nice, but then it was just 178 €. The free boat which should be included in the rent, cost 50 € for briefing and maintenance, and the tourist tax comes again with just under 42 €. Why is it not possible to play with open cards, instead of keeping the total price low to attract customers, something annoys me. What was still negative was the shower was quite schmudelig with the sometimes already black joints (mold growth?) Furthermore, were Of course there were positives that were not sooooo bad. There were of course also positive, the view of the lake was very nice, the rooms were ok, only the stairs were quite steep and with small children you have to be very careful. Really good was the boat, even if we could only use it for one day, 2 days storm, 1 day used and on 30.10 the boat had to be delivered, I would have liked some flexibility, the weather was beautiful and in the middle of the holiday the boat giving up is not that big of a hit. On the whole, the holiday was very nice, with a few drawbacks, but still to be recommended, considering the things mentioned.

The arrival was fine, the people are very friendly and helpful. The house is very good and pleasant. The area is beautiful, we had a view of the lake from our house. It is a quiet beautiful area. A sloop at the house was fantastic! There were a few minor negatives; the house was clean but had also not been in the rental so there is dust on the floor it would have been perfect if there had been a swiffer before our arrival. The inventory was fine for 5 people in a 6 person house but not spacious. A bit more cutlery would have been nice. Too bad it says in paper that you can rent a bike and if you go ask the lady behind the reception that this is not possible or in Appingendam, which we did not want because our children wanted to cycle at the lake. And finally the communication about "supping". The costs were 10 euros per hour, it was said just look how long you want it is good for all of us. When returning after 5 minutes, 2 hours had to be paid. If that's the rule that's fine, but it would have been nice if that had been said, then we could have taken that into account. But apart from the above, it was a super vacation in a super location and idem house. This dominates and we enjoyed it, an absolute must!
