The newly furnished apartment Michele, established in 2017, is located on the 1st floor of a building housing four units. It is situated in the newly developed area Quinta do Poço, about 500 meters east just outside of Ferragudo / Algarve. It takes approximately 7 minutes on foot to reach the central square of Ferragudo. It is a very quiet residential area. Good play opportunities for children (playground nearby). It is tastefully and modernly furnished and has a balcony overlooking the urban development. The bedrooms are equipped with double beds and overlook the green hinterland of Ferragudo. It takes about 15 minutes to walk to Praia Grande beach. Parking is available directly in front of the apartment. The use of an air conditioner is possible. The apartment is also well-suited for winter vacations. Pets are not allowed.

Location and surroundings of object

The property is quietly located on the edge of Ferragudo. The facilities are appealing. We recommend our guests to rent a car since the Algarve is very worth seeing overall. Of course, we are happy to assist in arranging this. The fishing village of Ferragudo is one of the most tranquil and affordable places in the Algarve. The maze of narrow streets and winding stairs gives a genuine, unspoiled impression of Portuguese mentality. In front of the whitewashed, flower-adorned houses, women often still wash their laundry, and at noon, sardines are grilled. In the "mom-and-pop stores" (Mini-Mercados), shopping is done. The people are always friendly and helpful.

In the market hall, you can buy fresh fish, seafood, and fruit daily. For major shopping, there is a Lidl supermarket at the entrance to the village. Particularly worth seeing is the small church in the upper part of the village. You have a broad view over the harbor entrance of Portimão and onto the Atlantic Ocean. Here, you won't find sterile concrete blocks or impersonal hotel complexes, but rather luxurious villas, houses, cozy apartments, and excellent holiday resorts.

The market square is a meeting place for locals and visitors. There are cozy cafes, small pubs, and bars with beer gardens, which also cater well to young people. Here you will also find the post office, a bank, and a wide range of different restaurants, from typical Portuguese to international cuisine, but also pizzerias and rotisserie chicken places. Every weekend in summer, a Portuguese festival takes place, reminiscent of a large family celebration, and the monthly flea market is also worthwhile.
