Information on accommodation
Interior
Our home can accommodate up to 4 people, is detached and has a covered furnished terrace, garden and 1 parking space. The living room contains a sitting and dining area. The open-plan kitchen is equipped with a combination of microwave, fridge-freezer, kettle, coffee maker, electric hob and dishwasher.
There are 2 bedrooms, each with a box-spring bed with topper. The beds are equipped with single four-seater duvets and pillows. The bathroom has a shower, washbasin and toilet.
In an extra room, you can relax in the luxurious sauna; a combination of a Finnish sauna and infrared.
The house was recently completely renovated. The interior and the sauna are brand new. We have worked very hard and invested a lot, so renting it out is quite exciting. We therefore really hope you will enjoy your stay, but will also treat our belongings properly. This also applies to the (new) air conditioners, which you can use to heat and cool the house very comfortably. To avoid unnecessary waste, we therefore ask you not to use air-conditioning if you have windows and/or outside doors open or if you are away for a longer period of time.
Wi-Fi is unfortunately not yet available. We are waiting for a connection. Until you have access to Wi-Fi, you will receive a daily rental discount of €5.
At reception, you can use a washing machine and/or dryer for a fee.
Conditions of the Landlord
PLEASE NOTE:
- Smoking is not allowed in the accommodation
- Pets (maximum 2) are allowed in consultation for 5,- per pet per night and are not allowed on the furniture.
- Please do not use the sofa or dining room chair to dry off after your visit to the sauna. You can use a terrace chair for this purpose.
- It is not allowed to charge an electric car via a socket in the house. For this you can use the quick charger of Raffeisen Markt in the village

- Adolescents and young adults under the age of 25 may not stay at the holiday park without being accompanied by at least one adult over the age of
25 years. When booking young adults, we reserve the right to require a deposit of €100 per person on arrival.
- Our property is advertised on several sites. To avoid double bookings, your booking is not valid until your booking request has been

Location and surroundings of object
Location
Less than 2 hours' drive from Utrecht, the holiday park Grafschaft Bentheim is located 4 km across the border near the town of Uelsen in the wooded surroundings of county Bentheim. The gently sloping landscape offers many opportunities for extensive hiking and cycling. The park is an ideal holiday destination for hikers, cyclists and nature lovers.
You can walk straight into the woods at 150 metres from the cottage. Would you like to swim? You can do so in the nearby swimming pools (2.5 km away), where you can enjoy hours of water fun. The wooded surroundings are great for cycling. At reception, you can get information on cycling and walking routes, ask about bike rental and there are also discount coupons for many attractions.
Surroundings
The spa town of Uelsen is a cosy village in the middle of the authentic region of Grafschaft Bentheim. The county of Bentheim lets you enjoy boundless enjoyment in a beautiful rolling hill landscape, where forests, heathland, meadows and fields alternate. The restored wind and water mills show the unmistakable Dutch influence on the village. About 2 km from the park is an outdoor pool with slides, diving boards and sunbathing area (open in good weather from mid-May to mid-September) and the indoor pool with the longest slide in the region (closed 26.7.23-16.8.23). There are also mini-golf (open from early April to mid-October), bowling alley , a tennis court and many supermarkets, shops and restaurants.
Especially for active holidaymakers, there is the Bicycle Bus (with trailer). It runs on 2 routes between Bad Bentheim and Emlichheim in the summer holidays and at weekends, and you can get off anywhere and complete the tour on foot or by bike.
Bad Bentheim has a beautiful 18-hole golf course. Within a radius of 40 km, you will find many interesting excursions such as the animal park in Nordhorn (our guests get a 25% discount on the entrance fee, ask for the discount card at reception). Then there is Emmen Zoo, the amusement parks in Hellendoorn and Slagharen and Plopsa Indoor in Coevorden. Moviepark near Bottrop is also a 1.5-hour drive away.
The lovely towns of Tubbergen with its tropical swimming paradise (8km), Nordhorn and Ootmarsum are definitely worth a visit. Also the spa town of Bad Bentheim, with its narrow streets and alleys should not be missing from your holiday. It has a cosy centre with an almost 1,000-year-old castle.
In short, you are going on holiday to a versatile area with many possibilities for everyone.

Short vacation
Super location. Walks, going out, restaurants, close to the border with the Netherlands, peacefully located, everything top-notch and dogs allowed.
We felt very comfortable.

Voor herhaling vatbaar!
Wij zijn al meerdere malen op dit vakantiepark geweest, maar nog nooit van zo'n mooi gerenoveerd vakantiehuis mogen genieten als dat van jullie! Wat is dit mooi geworden! Echt een prachtig uitgevoerde metamorfose. En wat ook meehielp was de plotseling opgelopen temperatuur van 26 graden. We hopen hier graag bij leven en welzijn nog eens terug te keren!

Heerlijk!
We hebben een hele fijne week hier gehad! Het weer werkte niet echt mee, maar het huisje zelf was zeer comfortabel en de sauna was echt heerlijk. Echt een verwennerij zo'n eigen sauna hoor! We komen graag nog een keertje terug!
De omgeving vonden we zeker mooi en we hebben heel fijn gefietst.

We would like to introduce ourselves. We are Jan Nicolaij and Petra Griffioen, aged 60 and 53 respectively. We were recently able to buy this holiday home from Jan's parents. It no longer met today's requirements and so, apart from the kitchen and bathroom, we literally took everything out, after which we worked non-stop for weeks, making days of 16 hours. Everything to make it a comfortable and attractive house again. One of Jan's big wishes was a sauna, which we got. It has become a combination of a Finnish sauna and an infrared sauna. You come out reborn! We ourselves live in a very quiet spot in Utrecht, together with our 2 small adopted dogs from Spain and Romania. We both still work full-time, have busy (social) lives and are still blessed with all four of our parents. All this unfortunately means we can't use the cottage ourselves as much as we would like. This is a reason for us to offer it for rental as well. Because we have invested a lot in it, we are very excited about it. We want many more people to enjoy the house, the sauna and the surroundings, but of course we also hope that everyone will treat our stuff properly. So we hereby kindly appeal to you :-). Anyway, we hope you will enjoy our house and its surroundings. We have put a guestbook in the living room and would be delighted if you would write in it how you liked the cottage and its surroundings. Of course, you may also write down tips.
