...a cabin like something out of a picture book. The dark old wooden building recalls times gone by. You get the feeling that time has stood still up here. Our cabin is located above the village of Aschau in the Zillertal. A truly wonderful place to unwind, to retreat, or to dive into the leisure variety of the Zillertal.
Upon arriving at our Kumeterhütte, you immediately feel at home. Outside like in days gone by, inside your wish for coziness is fulfilled.
The kitchen is fully equipped with a high-quality kitchenette, refrigerator with freezer compartment, a dishwasher, a kettle, a filter coffee machine and a modern electric stove with oven, toaster, blender, cooking and dining utensils, cutlery, glasses and cups... as well as a wood stove. Enjoy shared meals on the comfortable corner bench group in the kitchen or at the large dining table in the wooden parlor.
Our parlor is equipped with a large corner bench with dining table, two benches, a tiled stove and a flat-screen TV, inviting you to a cozy get-together.
With 5 double bedrooms, a bathroom with shower, washbasin and WC, another bathroom with shower and washbasin, and a separate WC, our Kumeterhütte offers more than enough space for up to 10 people.
In winter, our guests have access to a ski cellar with a ski boot dryer for 10 pairs of ski boots, where skis can also be stored.
For barbecue lovers, a kettle grill is available to enjoy delicious meals in the covered seating area behind the cabin or in the seating area in front of the cabin. Our cabin is surrounded by breathtaking natural scenery, which unfolds its own magic in every season—whether in the green splendor of summer or snowed in to a winter wonderland.

Location and surroundings of object
The recreation village Aschau is located in the middle of the Zillertal. It has two grocery stores, a Raiffeisen bank, a bakery, a butcher, a restaurant, a playground, a train station, and a doctor. For our guests and locals, a regional taxi is available for a fee at the specified times. The stop is 200 m above our Kumeterhütte.
20 minutes on foot from the hut, in the direction of Tiefenbach, there is the opportunity to buy fresh eggs daily from the farm’s own hens of the Schiestl family at “Lechenweg’s Oarladerl.” Various spices and homemade liqueurs, schnapps, farm-raised beef, and other products are also available there... it is worth a visit...
It is 7.9 km to the Hochzillertal Kaltenbach ski area, and 6.8 km to the Zillertal Arena ski area.

Electricity, heating, firewood, drinking water, toilet paper, bedding and sheets, 1 towel and 1 bath towel per guest are included.
Guests need to bring their own dish towels.
