Do you want to escape the hustle and bustle of the city and are looking for the perfect starting point for bike tours or day trips in Mecklenburg? Whether as a couple or with children - then you've come to the right place. Our cozy holiday cottage is located between the Baltic Sea and the Mecklenburg Lake District, on the Berlin-Copenhagen bike path, not far from the A19 and A20.
There is a free parking space on the fenced property. You can put your bicycles in the lockable garage. Behind the house is a garden almost 1000 square meters in size. There you will find garden furniture, a grill, a fire bowl, and a swing for the children. Directly behind the garden begins agriculturally used land.
You enter the house through the veranda and from there into the cozy living area. On the ground floor is the fully equipped kitchen, the shower room, and the living room with a wood stove and dining area. There are two sleeping rooms on the upper floor. In the larger bedroom, there is a 180x200 bed and a baby cot available. In the smaller of the two bedrooms, there are 3 single beds, which can also be arranged into a larger sleeping area.
Since we also use the house privately quite often, we have furnished it with great attention to detail - including toys for our smallest guests.
Enjoy the breathtaking nature and the tranquility of the surroundings, which are ideal for walks and excursions into the countryside. Whether you're watching the sunset in the garden or starting the day with breakfast outdoors - at the Felddistel holiday home, you'll find everything you need for a relaxing vacation.

The small village of Mistorf is located between Güstrow and the former artists' colony Schwaan. It takes 15 minutes to get to the A20 and A19. Thus, Mistorf is the perfect starting point for day trips in all directions: Rostock City, Rostock Warnemünde, Bad Doberan, Kühlungsborn, Stralsund, Wismar, Waren an der Müritz, Nienhagen am Darß, Schwerin, Teterow in the Mecklenburg Switzerland. If the Baltic coast is too bustling, you can cool off on hot summer days at the bathing spot on Inselsee in Güstrow or by kayaking or stand-up paddling on the Warnow. Hohensprenzer Lake nearby is suitable for fishing.
By bike, you can reach Schwaan via field and forest paths, and from there, continue on the bike path to Bad Doberan and the surrounding seaside resorts. To the south, there are many routes that also allow for cycling trips towards the Mecklenburg Lake District or Mecklenburg Switzerland.
Mistorf has its own train station. With the S2, you can reach Güstrow or, via Schwaan without changing trains, Rostock Central Station and continue to Warnemünde.
Two streets away from the house, you will find a small corner shop, which is open from Monday to Friday. Opposite, there is a country café with a farm shop. For children, there is a large playground in Mistorf with a zip line and endless opportunities to go all out on the field paths by bike or on foot.

Super messy and beautiful
We just arrived a few hours ago at this super cozy and beautiful house, and we like both the location and the idyllic and short walk from the train, as well as the great amenities.
I especially love the color scheme of the house <3 It is simply an autumn dream.
It is very warm and cozy, and it practically invites you to curl up with a cup of tea and enjoy a wonderful weekend. I can also imagine that the house has a great location in the summer and that one could make nice use of the garden; today I enjoy looking at it through the window with a warm cup in hand.
Happy to do it again!

Super equipped house in a quiet location
The holiday home is tastefully and lovingly furnished. The amenities, including children's toys, are well thought out and leave nothing to be desired. Hanna is very friendly and considerate and was reachable for us at any time. The only drawback was the rather low room temperature. In November, the house was quite cold upon arrival and warmed up only slowly despite the turned-up heating. Hot water was consistently available. We would gladly come back.
