Description
The approximately 80m² holiday home "Am Hafen II" was built around 1890 in the characteristic style of the old town houses of Schleswig, just like the adjacent house. Until April 2024, I have fundamentally renovated this house and endeavored to preserve the charm of the "old". You will find an accommodation that is completely modern and tastefully furnished. The house, apart from the entrance area, is built without thresholds and consists of an open-plan kitchen and living room, two bedrooms (each with a double bed), and a shower room with double sinks.
In the larger bedroom, you will also find a freestanding bathtub, which you are welcome to use...
From all rooms, you have direct access to a wooden terrace of about 30m² with sun and wind protection. Here, thanks to the southern exposure, you can enjoy the sun all day long. Inside the house, there is a gallery where you can find an additional sleeping area if necessary.
There is a free parking spot right at the house and Internet access is available.

Almost all attractions of the over 1200-year-old Viking city Schleswig are located in the immediate vicinity of your accommodation:
The town hall is to the north (20m), the cathedral to the northwest (100m), the city harbor with boat rental to the west (150m), the historic fishermen's settlement "Holm" to the south (20m), the St. John's Monastery to the southeast (200m), the Holmer Noor nature reserve to the east (1m - from there you can watch sea eagles hunting for food from the terrace). You only need to walk a short 2 kilometers to reach the Landesmuseum Schloß Gottorf. The neighboring Viking Museum Haithabu (3km) can also be reached via a ferry connection across the Baltic fjord Schlei. Additionally, fjord cruises are offered daily...
Also within walking distance is the site of the first State Garden Show in Schleswig-Holstein - the Königswiesen, which features a swimming spot and a mini-golf course.

Highly recommended
I no longer remember how many times we have been guests at Mrs. Neubauer's. From the first time until now, it has always been the perfect vacation because nothing is missing in the holiday accommodation and the landlady is unique. We are always happy to vacation here again.

2. Home by the Schlei
Beautiful accommodation with everything you need. Especially nice is the large terrace and the central location. Very pleasant is also the very friendly and uncomplicated landlord Ms. Neubauer. I am / we are already here for the 6th time. It remains beautiful.

Great holiday home
We were guests at the Neubauer family for the second time. And it will happen again. We rarely had such a beautiful, lovingly prepared holiday accommodation. You feel comfortable and relaxed right away. Upon arrival, you are informed by Mrs. Neubauer about everything you need to know, and a well-chilled wine and water are waiting in the fridge. And then the holiday begins. Whether cycling tours or visits to restaurants, Schleswig is the right place to be. Thank you very much for the lovely vacation and see you soon!
