Description
The approximately 60m² vacation house "Am Hafen I" was built around 1890 in the characteristic style of Schleswig's old town houses. In the years 2023 and 2024, I completely renovated the house, striving to preserve the charm of the "old." You will find a holiday accommodation that is modern and tastefully furnished—always driven by my motto "you won't want to leave here." The house, apart from the entrance area, is built without thresholds and consists of a bedroom with a double bed, a shower room with double sink, and an open plan kitchen-living area. From there, one can directly access the 30m² outdoor terrace, which is protected from the sun by an awning and from the wind by a glass wall. Here, due to the south-facing orientation, you can enjoy the sun all day long. The house also includes a small gallery that can serve as an additional sleeping area if necessary.
There is a free parking space right next to the house.

Location and surroundings of object
The historic county town Schleswig, formerly the capital of the Vikings, is located at the end of the Baltic Sea fjord Schlei and is now over 1200 years old.
Almost all the attractions of the Viking town Schleswig are in close proximity to your accommodation:
The City Hall is to the north (20m), the Cathedral to the northwest (100m), the city harbor with boat rental to the west (150m), the historic fisherman's settlement "Holm" to the south (20m), and St. John's Monastery to the east (100m). -Johannis Monastery to the southeast (200m), the Holmer Noor nature reserve to the east (1m - there you can watch sea eagles hunting from the terrace).
Only to reach the State Museum Gottorf Castle you must take just under 2 kilometers walk. The neighboring Viking Museum Haithabu (3km) can also be reached via a ferry connection across the Baltic Fjord Schlei. In addition, daily trips on the Schlei are offered . . . The area of the first state garden show in Schleswig-Holstein - the Königswiesen with a swimming spot, mini-golf course, and charming gastronomy at the "Luisenbad", where there is also a supervised swimming spot, is also within walking distance.

Pure vacation relaxation
The contact with Mrs. Neubauer was very warm. Upon our arrival, there was a "Warm Welcome" at the entrance of the house. That really touched us. We could also move into the house right away; the key was in a box next to the door (the code was sent to us beforehand). Mrs. Neubauer then stopped by briefly to explain a few things, a very nice landlord and very open-minded. The holiday home is equipped with everything and lovingly furnished. We felt very comfortable and had a very nice time. We will come back.
