The luxury semi-detached holiday home is located on the Landgoed Âld Heach Hiem estate, on a private island/ "It eilan" in the middle of the National Park De Alde Feanen (UNESCO World Heritage) and by the water, near the Frisian water sports villages of Grou and Akkrum. This place/holiday home can only be accessed by boat. Therefore, the 2 electric sloops (1 sloop accommodates 7 people) are included in the rental price. In this holiday home, we have created 2 separate holiday apartments, each for 7 people/4 bedrooms. Both apartments have their own amenities: induction cooktops, semi-professional espresso machine with ground coffee, steel pans, luxury dishes and wine glasses (red and white), two refrigerators, ceramic BBQ (Takumi) and plate BBQ (Ofyr), soapstone stove, wifi, and TV. One residence overlooks the water (Janssloot) and the other residence has a view of the nature area (Alde Feanen). The homes are identical in terms of content; only the view is different.
If you are an avid sailor, a polyvalk/sailing boat with outboard motor is optionally available for rent.
What makes this beautiful vacation home so unique? - The luxury vacation home is located right on the water and is equipped with all conveniences: the double vacation home (semi-detached) has 8 bedrooms, two spacious living rooms, two luxurious and very complete kitchens.
- The tall windows from floor to ceiling ensure that you can enjoy a breathtaking view from almost all ground floor rooms.
- The soapstone stoves and underfloor heating ensure that you feel very comfortable even when the weather outside is less favorable. - The terrace and porch provide more than enough space to enjoy the fresh air and the view of the water and the nature reserve.
- It is located in the heart of the Frisian lakes area, the ideal base for sailing or boating trips.

Landgoed Âld Heach Hiem (Old High Estate) is located in Goëngahuizen (Central Friesland) close to the villages of Akkrum and Grou.
The estate is named after the former farm. The estate is situated on a private island (It Eilân) in the middle of the nature reserve National Park Âlde Feanen (Unesco World Heritage). The Park offers many recreational opportunities including boating, hiking, biking, and canoeing routes. The sailing routes from It Eilân are connected to the larger lakes, the Frisian Lakes (Pikmeer and Wijde Ee), the IJsselmeer, and the Wadden Sea.
On this beautiful estate, there is a holiday home (with two separate holiday apartments) located, which is only accessible by boat. If you are looking for peace, nature, simple luxury, and water sports, then you are most welcome.

We (a family with 3 teenage children) have been enjoying this unique relaxation spot for years. Occasionally, we grow tired of the hustle and bustle of the city of Utrecht (where we live), and then we find wonderful tranquility at Landgoed Âld Heach Hiem. Recently, we built a holiday home here (by ourselves), to share the place with others who love peace, nature, and water sports.
