On arrival it turned out that only one bedroom was furnished. The left one was a mess, with broken beds, very dirty mattresses were against a cupboard, a broken cupboard with also loose skirting boards here and there. Bed stuff just thrown on a chair, the whole room had not been cleaned. In the bathroom the whole toilet upstairs turned out to be unusable, it was broken (we heard later that it could not be repaired) and a broken shower knob. A very dirty staircase, fabric upholstery. Downstairs the room smelled very bad, despite our many airings the nasty - kind of burning smell from the wood stove? - lingered. All windows of the house, outside, but also inside very dirty (also spit streaks inside). Here and there very unkempt, skirting boards loose, rusty cabinet edges. Also outside the terrace not at all maintained, lots of bird droppings from a peacock. In short: not at all what we expect from a house from Belvilla. Quick contact and deployment of house management company (however some issues could not be resolved, despite extra cleaning action), but the customer service of Belvilla is completely bad. They were supposed to call us back (sos Belvilla), that never happened. Our complaint was swept away with one short email. No response to our last email, we have been waiting for that for more than two weeks. This one week that we could go on holiday in a house from Belvilla was a big disappointment.
