Description

Welcome to the holiday home Cottage Wildgarten in Schafstedt on the North Sea. Our charming holiday home offers space for up to seven guests on 140 square metres of living space and has four bedrooms and a bathroom.

The Cottage Wildgarten is surrounded by
our beautiful garden. You can park your car next to the house.

The house has been lovingly renovated by our family over the last few decades and furnished with some beautiful old furniture. It is still in private use.

The house welcomes you in a small hallway, from where you enter the spacious, light-flooded living area, which is furnished with two comfortable sofas and several armchairs. On cooler days, a fireplace provides cosy warmth (alternatively: the heating). A two metre long dining table offers space for the whole family. A high chair is available for the youngest guests.

In the open-plan kitchen you will find all amenities, including a dishwasher, a kettle and a coffee machine as well as espresso pots, juicers, baking tins and biscuit tins.

Entertainment is provided by games or a television connected to a DVD player. There is a small book library and a small DVD library. The house is connected to the fibre optic network (WLAN)

The bedrooms are comfortably furnished and equipped with fresh bed linen.

One of the two children's bedrooms is off the master bedroom, the other is in the former barn, which adjoins the kitchen. There is a wall cupboard in the barn, which houses both the gas boiler and the washing machine. There are small old farmhouse beds in both children's rooms.

There is also a small single room, furnished with a beautiful old bed, a chest of drawers and a small desk.

Please note that the holiday home is a non-smoking house.

There are various seating areas and a beach chair in the garden, and children will find a sandpit and a swing. It is of course allowed to pick a few flowers in the garden - but not all of them please :)).

Enjoy the view of the nearby lakes and rivers, watch the local wildlife or simply relax in the shade of the trees.

Cottage Wildgarten is the ideal place for a relaxing holiday surrounded by nature. We look forward to your visit!

Location and surroundings of object

The house is located in Dückerswisch-Schafstedt, on a small road, actually a dead end, which leads to the Nordostsee canal, which can be reached in a few minutes on foot. The view from the house is of your own large garden - 2700 square metres - or of the paddock next door.

The surrounding countryside invites you to take long walks and cycle tours. Here you are naturally drawn back to the Kiel Canal, where the world passes by in the form of large cargo ships. You can get a fishing licence in the village.

At the ferry in the small harbour of Dückerswisch, just a 10-minute walk away, there is a lovely inn, Kanal 33, with a wonderful beer garden, where you can enjoy delicious cakes every day, pizza on Thursdays and lots of other tasty treats too

Excursions with the children can take you to the small swimming pool in the village of Schafstedt, for example, larger pools are available in Albersdorf or Burg, and then of course the North Sea beach awaits. In Albersdorf there is a reconstructed village from the early Stone Age (and plenty of shopping opportunities).
The pretty cathedral town of Meldorf has everything from pizza and the Friday morning market to ice cream parlours, traditional restaurants and books (highly recommended: Peter Panther bookshop). The tourist office on the market square is always good for tips. From here it is also a quick walk to Meldorf Bay with its beach or the Wadden Sea station.
