The "Starboard" semi-detached house, located in a completely renovated thatched-roof cottage, offers 124m² of living space for up to seven people. Situated on a secluded street at the edge of a field, "Starboard" is the perfect place to escape the stresses of everyday life! The living and dining room is comfortably furnished and opens onto a south-facing terrace with wonderful views of the surrounding greenery. The south-facing garden is exclusively for the use of this semi-detached house and includes a barbecue. On cooler days, you can cozy up in the living room in front of the inviting Danish fireplace and stream your favorite series on the flat-screen TV. The kitchen is open to the living and dining room and is fully equipped. This historic semi-detached house, dating back to 1895, features two spacious, naturally lit shower rooms, one on each floor. The former hayloft on the upper floor has been converted into a dreamy sleeping loft. One bedroom is furnished with a double bed (180x200cm) and a wardrobe. The other bedroom, with its bunk bed and single bed (each 90x200cm), offers space for up to three children and also includes a chest of drawers. Both bedrooms are equipped with blackout curtains for restful nights. The sofa bed in the living room (180x200cm) can also be used as an alternative sleeping option. For a multi-generational holiday or a getaway with friends, the other half of the house, "Backbord," or the guesthouse "Captain's Lodge," also located on the property, are ideal. In total, up to 17 people can vacation together at "Fjord Cottage."

Location and surroundings of object

Steinbergkirche is the ideal starting point for a varied holiday. Numerous cycling and hiking trails lead you through the rolling landscape of Angeln. The Baltic Sea with its many beaches is very close by. Enjoy the fine sandy beach or rent a beach chair and relax. Water sports enthusiasts will find excellent conditions for windsurfing, kitesurfing, and stand-up paddleboarding. In the village, you'll find everything you need for daily life: a gas station, various shops, two bakeries, several hair salons, and a general practitioner and veterinarian. Alternatively, a trip to the air and Kneipp spa town of Gelting is worthwhile. Pure relaxation awaits you there. The Geltinger Birk nature reserve, covering 773 hectares, impresses with its reed beds, salt marshes, dunes, and forests. With a bit of luck, you might even spot the wild Konik horses. In the evening, a stroll to the harbor of Wackerballig is highly recommended, where you can enjoy a breathtaking sunset. Further shopping and excursion opportunities can be found in Kappeln or Flensburg. The charming port cities invite you to stroll, linger and enjoy.

Very stylishly furnished. Very nice for children with a table tennis table, go-kart, soccer, children's room with loft bed. For the parents, a beach chair with a view of pure nature, including deer.

The location of the house matched our expectations, especially regarding "quiet." Only one other house in the vicinity. Those who enjoy spending time in the garden will love the occasional rustle of the wind in the leaves of the trees. Additionally, the birds chirp in between - simply wonderful. The house is well-equipped, and we lacked for nothing. We spent a few days here during the second half of June 2024.
