Wellness oasis

Superbly equipped and tastefully furnished holiday apartment with a great view over the Flensburg Fjord. We felt completely comfortable all around and will definitely come back to take extensive bike tours in the beautiful Angeln countryside.

Short vacation in the smuggler's cabin

We stayed for 4 days in the Smugglers' Cove, the holiday apartment is very lovingly furnished,
there is nothing missing, we can only recommend the apartment, the surroundings are very quiet
and close to nature, in a few minutes walk you are right by the Baltic Sea.

Great holiday accommodation in a beautiful environment

Since 2020, we have been guests at the Altes Zollhaus for the 6th time - that says it all. Sometimes in the Gendarmenstube, sometimes in the Smuggler's Cove, depending on the season and availability. We have been here in early summer, late summer, and winter. Both apartments are excellently equipped and very cozy. Come in and feel good. And the highlight is the beautiful view of the fjord. Many thanks also to the owners, who always have good tips and take care of the apartments and guests with great dedication. And we have fallen in love with the area (Förde-Virus). With bikes and e-bikes, you can explore the area wonderfully here. We are looking forward to the next stay - definitely already next year.

Clear recommendation!

The smuggler's bunk is a chic and cosy flat with a great view (sea in two directions!), extensive equipment (who expects an electronic kitchen scale in a holiday apartment?) and very well thought-out furnishings (e.g. the many possibilities to hang things up). The extremely up-to-date information material (we were there at the end of April and the last addition was from the middle of the same month) and the very good accessibility of the hosts make it clear that it is a real concern for them that their guests feel comfortable. A clear recommendation for a holiday in the smuggler's bunk - but please not when we are thinking about going there next time. :-)

Relaxing days

We were allowed to spend the turn of the year as a family with dog in this beautiful flat with a fantastic view.

The flat was perfectly furnished for us and they even got a raclette machine for us.

Pure relaxation

Dear Voigt family,

we felt so comfortable with you that we didn't want to leave. You have furnished the flat beautifully and designed it with great attention to detail. The furnishings are just great, you have really thought of everything
The location is perfect, the view of the Flensburg Fjord from every corner of the flat, surrounded by nature and silence, only a few steps to the beach, paths for walking and cycling - the perfect place to "come down". We will gladly come back as soon as possible, because - the smuggler's bunk is addictive, no matter what the weather :-)

Great flat for a break from city life....

On several levels, the flat offers EVERYTHING. Even the well-equipped kitchen, which opens onto the living room, welcomes you with a spectacular view of the fjord. A cosy fireplace stands between the two rooms. Flensburger, water and fizzy drinks are ready to welcome you (PS: a little champagne for the girls would be great...). The bedrooms are on different levels-good thing! The master bedroom is fascinating with its original roof beams and what feels like 100 windows, and the bathroom en suite is small but nice... The landlords really put a lot of effort into this! The guest information folder alone contains such great suggestions for excursions or sightseeing. The location of the house is also convincing because of the incredible peace and quiet, the "stone's throw" to the beach and the possibilities to move around in the fresh air on foot or by bike.

The smuggler's bunk is a lovingly restored, very comfortable and well-kept holiday flat with lots of space. The landlords are committed, helpful and always available. We felt very comfortable and had a great rest. We really liked the spectacular sea view and the up-to-date information folder with tips for things to do in the area. Good area for hiking and cycling. "WOW" view

Dear Voigt family, we had a great stay in your holiday flat. The smuggler's bunk is an absolute dream...the first thing we did was go straight to the living room to see the magnificent "WOW" view live, it was a blast!
We really didn't want for anything, we also found it cosy despite the "Corona gutting". This section of the Baltic Sea coast hit the heart with its charm, enchanted us and made us curious about me(e/h)r...Thank you for "sharing" this wonderful gem with us guests ???️ H.T.

Holiday flat with "WOW" effect

We spent 2 wonderful weeks in this fantastic holiday flat. We really didn't want for anything. In the smuggler's bunk, you immediately notice that a lot of love and charm went into the furnishings
The view is also fantastic. You can look directly at the sea from two sides and watch the many sailing boats
The rather lonely beach can be reached on foot in 2-3 minutes. By car or bicycle you can also reach the dog beach in a short time
All in all, a wonderful holiday with a very nice hostess. Should it be suitable again, we will gladly come back.

Very cosy holiday flat

Despite the bad weather during our stay, it was very comfortable thanks to the very cosily furnished flat. The view from the flat is a dream. The flat also offers other amenities such as a fireplace and sauna. The landlords are also very friendly. We would definitely come again and hopefully with better weather.

One has to search long for an apartment so tastefully furnished and top equipped! Naturally spotlessly clean and we were greeted with welcome drinks and fresh flowers. The loving care by the landlords is not a matter of course. For children who are safe in handling stairs, the apartment is very suitable, they have their own realm in the bunk bed. The garden is small, but there is plenty of space to store outdoor items brought along and a great seating area. The path down the mountain to the beach only takes a few minutes. It's not a pure sand beach, but suitable for swimming and especially for digging. There are plenty of excursions in the region, but a car is very useful as infrastructure is missing locally. However, you can see the stars as well as nowhere else.

Great clean apartment

Location is off the beaten path, very beautiful, ideal for relaxing. Nice landlords with a surprising laundry service after a week. It would be nice to have a laundry basket to move washed clothes outside for hanging, and an additional wardrobe would be desirable.

Wonderful vacation apartment and a perfectly successful family holiday.

Amidst the tags, we gazed at Denmark, at night to the stars. We grilled and played in the garden, enjoyed the house's own sandy beach in sunshine, and when it wasn't so warm, we visited the nature reserves in the surrounding area or went shopping in Flensburg. The apartment is cute, well-equipped, and very clean. The friendly landlord was always available for tips and advice. Unfortunately, a week passed by far too quickly, but we will definitely come back. We can highly recommend this vacation rental.

Restful weekend

At the end of February, the four of us plus the dog spent a beautiful extended and relaxing weekend. The apartment is cozy and furnished down to the smallest detail and very clean. The view and the proximity to the Baltic Sea also make the accommodation attractive.

Ruhige und erholsame Fewo

Top equipped. Very clean. Everything is very new and well thought out. Great sea view. We even saw deer, rabbits, and squirrels in front of the property. The bedroom with the skylights and view of the starry sky is fantastic. Super comfortable beds and incredibly quiet in the accommodation. We really didn't miss anything here. The kitchen is top equipped. From the garlic press to the ceramic stove and a DAB radio, as well as a light motion sensor in the storage room and binoculars, everything is really available here. We have never had such a well-equipped holiday apartment and can really recommend the accommodation. The location is somewhat remote, which ensures the desired tranquility. Nevertheless, we would recommend having a car. Nice and uncomplicated contact with the landlord or manager.

a feel-good place in a rural idyll

When you enter the Smuggler's Cove, you will find plenty of space in the entrance area for all shoes, backpacks, etc. Going up the stairs, you reach the bright and lovingly furnished dining and living area. The view of the Baltic Sea invites you to linger on the window sills. Our daughter loved finding a spot here. The kitchen equipment leaves nothing to be desired. We have never been so well-equipped in a vacation accommodation. Everything was really there, even down to the kitchen grater and... also plastic boxes. Here you can cook and bake to your heart's content. The small bedroom is designed like a ship's cabin. A mirrored porthole hangs on the entrance door, light comes into the room from all sides, there is a reading lamp and a bedside lamp with alarm clock. Many lovingly designed details make this room cozy. The bathroom on the floor integrates a bathtub and even an infrared sauna. A hairdryer and a first aid kit can be found in the bathroom cabinet. Again, everything has been thought of here. In a storage cabinet in the hallway area, you will find cleaning utensils and a clothes drying rack. The washing machine is located in the kitchen. Going up the stairs leads to a truly great bedroom with its own small bathroom under the roof. The exposed ceiling beams and the floor-to-ceiling roof windows give the room a special charm. The view of the stars and the landscape make it an ideal place. The view of the Baltic Sea is beautiful, a small pair of binoculars hangs in a leather bag within reach, so that one can observe the surrounding nature wonderfully from here. The extremely comfortable double bed with electrically adjustable slatted frames and high-quality mattresses provided us with restful nights. Nature beaches, the Baltic Sea Cycling Route, and idyllic country houses can be found in the area. We liked the Geltinger Birk Nature Reserve with its wild horses the best. The fish sandwiches and fresh-caught fish in the harbor were a culinary delight. The ice cream in Langballigau tastes fantastic. Absolutely recommended. Thank you.

Spectacularly beautiful

We stayed in February at the Altes Zollhaus in the Smuggler's Cove. Not ideal weather, so the fantastic accommodation was all the more important. We had never found better equipment and more attention to detail anywhere else. With a fireplace and fluffy cushions on the windowsill, we made ourselves comfortable and enjoyed the magnificent view through the large panoramic window. The high-quality amenities, the view, the location, and the ambiance are spectacular, hats off!! We will definitely come back.

Traumhafte Ferienwohnung

We have already rented many vacation rentals, this one was the most beautiful so far! Beautifully decorated with a lot of attention to detail, we immediately felt comfortable in it. Everything very high quality, hardly believable that there is something like this for rent. Always happy to return.
