Description

The "Backbord" semi-detached house, located in a completely renovated thatched-roof cottage, offers 100 square meters of living space for up to 6 people.
"Backbord" is situated on a secluded street at the edge of a field – a perfect place to escape the stresses of everyday life.
The living and dining room on the ground floor is comfortably furnished and features a wood-burning fireplace.
The curtains provide privacy and a cozy atmosphere.
The open-plan kitchen adjoins the living and dining room and is fully equipped.
The kitchen leads to the bright shower room.
Upstairs, you'll find two bedrooms and a small WC.
Built-in wardrobes in the hallway and a comfortable work and reading area in the gallery complete the upper floor of this historic semi-detached house, which dates back to 1895.
One bedroom is furnished with a double bed (180x200cm).
The other bedroom offers a daybed (80x200cm) that can be extended to a double bed (160x200cm), as well as a mezzanine with two floor mattresses for children (70x200cm) – a perfect retreat for up to four children.
Both bedrooms are equipped with blackout curtains for restful nights.
Opposite the front door is access to a private, enclosed garden with a sheltered southwest-facing terrace, which also features a barbecue.
For a multi-generational holiday or a getaway with friends, the other half of the house, "Starboard," or the guesthouse "Captain's Lodge," also located on the property, are available.
In total, up to 17 people can vacation together in "Fjord Cottage."
Your four-legged family members are also welcome in "Backbord."
In our covered area, you will find a shared ping-pong table with paddles and a covered bicycle parking area.
In addition, we offer grills for barbecue evenings and soccer goals for spontaneous matches.
During the colder months, or simply for cozy get-togethers, you can rent a barrel sauna upon request, which will then be available for your use right on the property.
Please note that the apartment is not suitable for construction workers, and we cannot accept bookings for this purpose.

Steinbergkirche is the ideal starting point for a varied holiday. Numerous cycling and hiking trails lead you through the rolling landscape of Angeln. The Baltic Sea with its many beaches is very close by. Enjoy the fine sandy beach or rent a beach chair and relax. Water sports enthusiasts will find excellent conditions for windsurfing, kitesurfing, and stand-up paddleboarding. In the village, you'll find everything you need for daily life: a gas station, various shops, two bakeries, several hair salons, and a general practitioner and veterinarian. Alternatively, a trip to the air and Kneipp spa town of Gelting is worthwhile. Pure relaxation awaits you there. The Geltinger Birk nature reserve, covering 773 hectares, impresses with its reed beds, salt marshes, dunes, and forests. With a bit of luck, you might even spot the wild Konik horses. In the evening, a stroll to the harbor of Wackerballig is highly recommended, where you can enjoy a breathtaking sunset. Further shopping and excursion opportunities can be found in Kappeln or Flensburg. The charming port cities invite you to stroll, linger and enjoy.

From the anticipation of communicating with the team and arriving at the house to our stay, we were more than satisfied. A dream location of a perfectly designed house with the tranquility one wishes for a vacation...you will find it here!! From the location, we were able to start our bike excursions in all directions. Simply perfect. We will come back.
