Description

Welcome to our weatherproof holiday home in Ellemeet near Renesse. It is located in a spacious holiday park with its own parking space directly next to a large playground. From the living room you look into the fenced and secluded garden with terrace incl. awning. You can use a ladies’ and a men’s bicycle free of charge.

The house is cozily furnished, the new kitchen has an oven, a dishwasher, a microwave and is fully equipped. On the ground floor there is the bathroom incl. hairdryer, the living and dining area, the kitchen, and the newly renovated bedroom (with two single beds 90x2m). On the 1st floor there is the second bedroom with a built-in wardrobe as well as a gallery with a pull-out sofa bed (the gallery is open to the living room).

In the park there is a paid laundry house with a washing machine and a dryer. Coins for this can be purchased at the reception. Since the house was built in 1974 according to Dutch standards, it is somewhat sound-permeable.

The bicycles, a grill, and loungers are in the shed, the cushions are upstairs on the mezzanine.

The house is surrounded by a beautiful flat landscape with beaches, meadows, and trees. Enjoy a walk on the beach, admire the beauty of nature, or take a bike ride through the area.

Location and surroundings of object

The holiday home is located in a holiday park in the village of Ellemeet, approx. 3 km to Renesse or Scharendijke (supermarkets), in the summer months there may also be a small campsite shop approx. 700 m away. The reception is on the left at the entrance to the park.
It is the sunniest region of the Netherlands, in Zeeland on the Schouwen-Duiveland peninsula, about 60 kilometres below Rotterdam.

The wide 17 km long sandy beach with small beach pavilions invites you to eat and drink, it can be reached on foot or by bike on a car-free road in 700 metres. By car it is then about 2 kilometres with a small diversions.

The Grevelingenmeer is good for diving and sailing. In the North Sea there are beautiful surfing areas. The surrounding area can be explored by bike, in the nature reserve Westerschouwen there are beautiful walking and cycling routes.

Everything's great!°

We had a nice week in the accommodation with our dog! It was everything you need. The bicycles were in good condition and the small garden was also nice. A small downside was the shower, as the spray didn't have much pressure. We would rent it again anytime.

all tenants should just clean the cutlery and kitchen inventory properly before leaving the house....

Late summer vacation in Ellemeet on Schouwen-Duiveland

We were two people and our dog for two weeks in this beautiful vacation apartment. We lacked nothing here. The landlords are uncomplicated and very quick to reach with questions. Additionally, there is the possibility of having a contact person in the park for problems. The house is quietly located among trees in the small park, and the garden with the terrace is completely enclosed with a fence and bushes, ideal for a vacation with a dog. The terrace has a large awning and is therefore very well protected. The beach is within walking distance (about 700 m) via a small quiet bike path. It is a dream beach and not so crowded. From 7 PM, dogs were allowed to run off-leash. The island has very short distances. It takes only a few minutes to drive to Zierikzee, Renesse, and Burgh Haamstede. There are good shopping options here and, above all, free parking close to the center. In the neighboring village of Scharendijke, there is a Plus market with a good selection.
We felt very comfortable and thank you for the lovely time here.

Really very good!

We have already been in this holiday home for 2 weeks this year. In August 2023, we were also there and then booked it again for 2024 in the fall and plan to go back to Ellemeet in 2025. For us, with a dog, the holiday home is ideal, the location is very quiet, yet you can quickly reach the surrounding towns by bike and also walk to the beach in 10 minutes. The cycle paths in the entire holiday area are wonderfully developed and often run directly along the coast. The house is equipped with everything you need, and this year we found a new kitchen and it was renovated. We were happy about the oven, which wasn't there before. Since it was often very windy during our vacation, we were very grateful to have this very sheltered garden and therefore always be able to be outside. Completely satisfied with everything, we will definitely come back and are already looking forward to it. We can highly recommend the house 100%.

Girls' trip

We have now spent our girls' holiday for the fourth time in the nice holiday home of the Schurmann family and once again we had a wonderful time. We didn't miss anything, as always. We also really liked the new kitchen with an oven. The location is simply great, a short walk to the beach, a few kilometers by car to Zierikzee and the beautiful town of Veere. The weather was also great. When we arrive at the house, we almost feel like in a second home. We will definitely come back. Even my dog Lana felt very comfortable and enjoyed the perfectly fenced garden. We can only recommend the house and the bungalow park de Haerde. small sweet house. Good location, close to the beach!

We were five people and our small poodle in August in the beautiful Ellemeet. The location of the house is very good, you can quickly get to Renesse and we also visited Amsterdam after a 90-minute drive. The beach is simply beautiful and very clean, dogs welcome, just great.
We had a lovely week in this very nice holiday home. The contact with the Schurmann family is very nice and everything could be clarified well via email.
So off to Ellemeet.

Vacation at the sea

We had a really great holiday in your holiday home and Schouwen Duiveland! The holiday home is great because we not only had Schouwen Duiveland to discover, but also the many games, books, and the guestbook in the house. The holiday home is in a good location near the beach and very well equipped, more than one would need. We especially liked the layout of the house, the gallery, the dishes, the grill, the bicycles, and the large comfortable sofa!

The service at Park De Haerde is very friendly and uncomplicated. In addition, in Ellemeet, there is a small restaurant (Bij Patty) where you can get delicious food and a small gas station.

I would like to express my thanks again for your quick and friendly communication and flexibility in adjusting our accommodations!

We will recommend you, your house, and Schouwen Duiveland to others and will very likely contact you again one day to plan another holiday :-)

Cozy holiday home, beautiful area.

We were three in the beautiful, cozy holiday home with terrace and small, private garden. It is located in an older park with old trees. The individual houses are pleasantly distributed. The holiday home is cozy and individually furnished with everything necessary. Even books and games can be found.
The nearest beach section can be reached on foot or by bike after about 800 to 1000m. Here you will also find the beautiful beach pavilion Carozon, which invites you to relax in any weather. However, it should be noted that it can only be reached directly via stairs, and the way back is somewhat steep. Alternatively, there are several other pavilions that are easily accessible on foot on the extensive beach. Each of the pavilions has its own charm.
If possible, explore Zeeland by bike. The many small villages, the unique dune landscape, and the nature reserve invite you to pause and stroll.
Pants lovers browse in Haamstede at "De Boulevard," where you can find pants in all colors and sizes. Then there's "Appelgebak with Slagroom" at the small café across from the church.
Visits to Zierikzee, Veere, and Ouddop are also worthwhile. If you want it livelier, drive to the village of Renesse, about 3 km away.
Not to forget: delicious food can be found at Eethuis Schouwen in Scharendijke. Very friendly staff, but make sure to "reserve a table." It was a very nice time, even when the sun didn't always shine, and we will gladly be guests at Ferienhaus Schurmann again.
