Discover the beautiful nature, diverse art and culture, pleasure and wine of the Black Forest during a stay in our cosy, modern furnished holiday flat in Oberkirch. The flat offers 66.5 square metres of space for up to two guests.
Your holiday flat (own entrance) is located on the first floor of a 180-year-old house. Your holiday flat was completely renovated in 2023. It is very stylish, modern and cosily furnished and equipped with all the amenities you need for a comfortable stay. High-quality vinyl flooring or stone tiles are laid throughout the flat.
You sleep in a comfortable double bed (160 x 200 cm) and can enjoy the morning sun and the view of the surrounding gardens directly from the bedroom on the balcony. The kitchen is equipped with a dishwasher, fridge with freezer compartment, kettle and a comprehensive range of kitchen utensils and cookware. You will also find oil and vinegar from local producers and an assortment of spices and herbs. Bed linen, towels and tea towels are provided and a hairdryer is available in the bathroom (! Attention: ceiling height in the shower 2.00 m,). The living room is equipped with comfortable furniture and a flat screen TV, you use WLAN and digital TV. Please note that this is a non-smoking flat.
You will find a car parking space opposite the house in front of our garage.
You are welcome to bring your bicycles and park them there. We also offer you the possibility to rent 2 e-bikes (26 and 28 inch) (please ask for conditions).
The house is located directly in the city centre of Oberkirch, yet you live very quietly, without traffic noise at night. Relax on the balcony or take a walk through the nearby meadows, vineyards and forests (1 km from the house). All shopping facilities, bakery, butcher (best Black Forest ham), supermarket, organic supermarket, restaurants, cafés and shops are within walking distance (max. 1 km). You can also visit the Oberkirch media centre, the swimming pool (May - October) and the local history museum.

Welcome to Germany's warmest region - Baden and the Black Forest. Offenburg, the city with the most hours of sunshine a year, is just 15 kilometres away. And in the centre of Baden is the small town of Oberkirch, at 192 m above sea level, at the foot of the Black Forest. For many years, this was the adopted home of the famous baroque poet Hans Jakob Christoffel von Grimmelshausen (Der abenteuerliche Simplicissimus Teutsch).
The Black Forest, the Ortenau wine and gourmet region, the foothills with their vineyards, the wide Rhine ditch with its branching branches of the Old Rhine, neighbouring Alsace, the metropolis of Strasbourg and the French Vosges mountains make our region a unique cultural, gourmet and sporting experience.
Festivals, markets, customs, enjoyment - all this is an integral part of the quality of life in Baden. In Oberkirch you will find all this all year round. Some highlights: Spring - the fountain is in bloom, strawberry festival, summer nights with music at the castle, wine festival, idyllic Advent magic with Christmas market on the church square, Fasent / carnival ..
You will find countless activities and attractions directly on site or within easy reach. Take a stroll through the charming little town of Oberkirch, watch "die Litt" (the people) over an espresso in the pedestrian zone or visit the local wineries and taste the best wines of the region.
Explore the numerous hiking and cycling trails that lead through the Black Forest. They are well signposted right from the front door. Whether you want to enjoy the lovely nature of the orchards and vineyards, the foothills with their marvellous views or climb to the highest peaks in the region and in the Black Forest National Park and enjoy a view as far as the Alps with good visibility - you will find it all here. Here are some event options: Climbing and event park (Mehliskopf, 30 km), bike arena and downhill park (Sasbachwalden, 15 km), treetop path and suspension bridge (Bad Wildbad, 99 km), highest peak in the central Black Forest, the Hornisgrinde (29 km by car, 34 km by mountain bike, 21 km on foot).
Art and culture lovers will get their money's worth here. Visit culturally rich cities such as Karlsruhe (80 km) Baden-Baden (55 km), Freudenstadt (45 km), Strasbourg (28 km), Freiburg (85 km). They are all easily accessible by public transport. Or you can discover one of the small town gems such as Gengenbach, Ettenheim, Zell am Harmersbach ...
The Europapark Rust (50 km) is within easy reach, as is the Vogtsbauernhof open-air museum (Gutach, 60 km), Frieder Burda Museum (Baden-Baden, 50 km) .. There are unique and curious attractions such as the Museum of Fools (Gengenbach), the Museum of Minerals and Mathematics (Wolfach), the Gasometer (Pforzheim), the world's largest cuckoo clock, one of Germany's highest waterfalls in Triberg, canoeing on the Old Rhine, archery, indoor e-cart track .....
And if you want to do something good for yourself after an eventful or strenuous day: Whether it's a rustic snack bar, international cuisine, upscale local gastronomy, castle restaurants or wineries with a view, excellent starred cuisine - you are guaranteed to find your favourite place to enjoy yourself in the region.
