Welcome to the "Seidenglanz" holiday flat on the ground floor of our Hüttenblick holiday home in Straßberg/Harz. On a generous 60 m² we offer you a cosy home for your stay. Ideal for 2 people, but also suitable for up to 4 people thanks to a comfortable sofa bed.
Garden
As guests of the "Seidenglanz" holiday flat, you can relax in the garden or organise cosy barbecue evenings. The gas barbecue is available in the garden shed, while the seating area is stored there in the winter months and placed outside in the spring.
Living room
The living room invites you to linger with a cosy corner sofa, which can be converted into a comfortable sofa bed if required. A large flat-screen TV with Smart TV and satellite reception is available for relaxing TV evenings.
Kitchen
The kitchen is fully equipped with an oven and dishwasher. The spacious fridge with freezer compartment offers plenty of space for your provisions. Coffee lovers can choose between a coffee machine and a Senseo machine.
Bedroom
The spacious bedroom with a comfortable box-spring bed (1.80m x 2.00m) ensures a restful night's sleep. To prevent the morning sun from waking you up, you can lower the roller shutter on the bedroom window. A spacious wardrobe offers plenty of room for your clothes, and a reading lamp allows you to read in bed.

The bathroom has a shower and a bathtub as well as a hairdryer and plenty of towels for your comfort.

Straßberg in the Harz Mountains is picturesquely nestled in the upper Selke valley, surrounded by impressive natural scenery. The village stretches along the course of the Selke river, which runs through the idyllic valley. The historic Selke Valley Railway runs directly through the village and offers not only a convenient way to explore the surrounding area, but also a charming journey into the past. The surrounding hills, ponds and wooded mountains give the region a unique charm.
For lovers of tradition, Straßberg offers delightful opportunities, including a visit to the Bergschänke. This inviting restaurant delights with its regional flair and authentic dishes. Another highlight is the "Lindenberger Bahnhofsbräu" microbrewery, which has only existed since 2019 and brews a variety of different beers with passion and in accordance with the German Purity Law of 1516. Immerse yourself and be surprised by the diverse flavours that can be created from the combination of barley, hops and water. The Glasebach Mine Museum on the outskirts of Straßberg is also waiting to be explored. As a historic mine, it impressively conveys the mining tradition of the region and provides fascinating insights into the history of mining. Its central location in the upper Selke valley also makes Straßberg an ideal starting point for nature lovers and hiking enthusiasts. The village is located in the immediate vicinity of the Selkestieg, an outstanding hiking trail that meanders along the Selke. Hikers can enjoy the beauty of nature to the full on this trail, past rocky formations, picturesque viewpoints and through dense forests.
The area surrounding our holiday home not only offers a fascinating natural experience, but also a variety of historical and cultural sights. Away from the natural beauty, there are numerous excursion destinations in the vicinity of Straßberg that will enrich your stay. An absolute highlight is nearby Quedlinburg, a historic World Heritage town with a well-preserved old town centre consisting of over 2,000 picturesque half-timbered houses dating back eight centuries. A stroll through the cobbled streets takes you back in time and is definitely worth a visit. Equally impressive is Wernigerode Castle with its imposing architecture, which draws the eye and tells a fascinating story.
For panoramic views, we recommend the 38-metre-high Josephskreuz on the Auerberg, an impressive landmark in the region. If you want to enjoy nature to the full, hiking is a great option. You might even become the Harz Hiking Emperor by mastering the challenges of the Harz Hiking Needle.
