Description
Discover the cosy holiday home no. 5 at Drifthof in Polchow on the island of Rügen. The house offers 60 square metres of space for up to four guests and is equipped with a living room with dining area and modern kitchen, a bedroom, a cosy sleeping loft for children, a "cupboard room" and a bathroom. The holiday home also has a covered terrace of approx. 30m².
The warm, Scandinavian atmosphere of the house is emphasised by the fireplace in the living room, which provides cosy warmth on cooler days. The open-plan kitchen is equipped with modern kitchen appliances and invites you to cook and eat together. The dining area is furnished with a large dining table and comfortable chairs that invite you to linger.
The bathroom exudes a warm atmosphere and is equipped with a shower and washbasin. A hairdryer is provided for your comfort. The bedroom is cosily furnished and offers a comfortable bed for restful nights. The cosy sleeping loft for your children is accessible via a stable ladder. It is separated from the other rooms by its own door.
The living room is furnished with a comfortable sofa and invites you to relax. Large windows let in plenty of natural light and offer a beautiful view of the surrounding area.
All holiday properties at Drifthof are non-smoking. We would therefore ask you to smoke outside only. Holiday home no. 5 It is brand new and furnished with great attention to detail in Scandinavian style. It offers a cosy atmosphere where you can feel at home. The warm wood tones and high-quality materials ensure a cosy feeling.
The huge outdoor area offers play opportunities for children. The spacious grounds offer plenty of seating with views into the distance, a table tennis table and a grass volleyball court, which can also be transformed into a small football pitch if required.

Location and surroundings of object
Polchow, a former fishing village, is a quiet part of the seaside resort of Glowe, directly on the Great Jasmund Bodden. In our village you will find a village inn and a fish smokehouse. The natural beach on the Great Jasmund Bodden is about 500 metres away. Nearby is the "Schaabe", an undeveloped coastal strip covered with pine trees, with the most beautiful sandy beach on the island of Rügen. This can be reached by car in approx. 5 minutes and by bike in approx. 20 minutes.
Polchow's favourable location makes it an ideal starting point for hikes and excursions. The Stubbenkammer, the Königsstuhl, Cape Arkona, the harbour in Sassnitz, the Störtebeker Festival in Ralswiek and many other excursion destinations can be reached within a few minutes by car. An adventure pool, tennis courts, a bowling alley and a pony farm invite guests to linger in Neddesitz, approx. 3 km away. Bicycle hire and a mini-golf course can be found in Glowe, 5 km away.
In spring and autumn, cranes migrate directly over our property and rest in the surrounding fields.
Polchow is a real insider tip for families, nature lovers, anglers and beach goers.

Perfect vacation with children
We were at the Drifthof for the first time and felt comfortable right away.
The holiday home was super cozy and especially the kitchen was very well equipped!
The outdoor area was a dream! Spacious, quiet, and plenty of space for the children to play.
Perfect location for day trips.
If we had questions or requests, there was always someone to talk to, and we felt very welcome!
When we travel to Rügen again, it will be to the Drifthof!

Fantastic vacation home
We had a wonderful stay at Drifthof. An idyllic spot on the beautiful island of Rügen. The owner did his best to enable everyone to have a wonderful vacation. You can play table tennis, volleyball, and football, and at various places on the grounds, you can make a fire or sit down and enjoy the view. The house is very clean and meets all requirements. A nice heater keeps warm, a good TV and a Bluetooth radio, and the children's sleeping area was cool! The owner is very hospitable. He was helpful and friendly, but never intrusive. At Easter, he asked the Easter Bunny to deliver chocolate, which was a lot of fun. And the bottle of Prosecco we found in the fridge upon our arrival was a lovely surprise. We would gladly come back!

We both had a fantastic week in the new, spotlessly clean, and tastefully furnished bungalow. The second bedroom is accessible by a ladder in the attic. This is only suitable for children of a certain age. One should consider this when needing two bedrooms. The property is spacious, and there is a beautiful view of the lagoon from the back garden area. It is quiet, somewhat located in the hinterland of the coast, and there is a nice bike route to Schaabe (about 1 hour), which is absolutely fine for us. We have come to know and appreciate an unusual service for German standards: the missing teapot was acquired within a few hours, we were welcomed with a bottle of Prosecco in the fridge and homemade fig jam. We generally consider the overnight prices at the Baltic Sea to be excessive, but this bungalow is reasonable. Thank you, Mr. Joachimi, we had a great week with you!

Most beautiful spot on Earth in Rügen
We have been to the Drifthof for the 3rd time. It was, like the last years, a very nice family vacation. Many thanks to our landlord Stefan Joachimi. It was once again the best time of the whole year. Until next year. Best regards from the Erdmann family.
