Welcome to the holiday home Nordseeglück! (Please read notes below)
Our spacious, fully equipped holiday home is located less than 200 metres behind the North Sea dike on the Friedrichskoog-Spitze peninsula in a quiet cul-de-sac in the wonderful North Sea air.
It is completely surrounded by garden and terraces and offers everything from a cosy living room to a dishwasher and fibre optic internet connection to make you feel at home from the very first moment.
On the ground floor, the large south-facing eat-in kitchen with terrace and garden access and a new Scandinavian wood-burning stove ensures complete relaxation whatever the weather.
There are 3 inviting bedrooms (one downstairs, two on the first floor).
Two bathrooms (one on each floor), each with a shower, prevent too much queuing after the mudflat hike.
Important for a comfortable stay: there are up to 3 car parking spaces on the private driveway or in the carport, where bicycles can be stored.
For children we offer 2 high chairs and a cot 120x60cm as well as some games. There is a stair gate on the upper floor.
The terrace including the front garden is completely fenced so that you can find safe areas for children and/or dogs.
Dogs are welcome on the ground floor, where there is also a bedroom (so nobody has to stay downstairs alone).
However: Charging electric vehicles at the house is prohibited!

From probably spring 2024 to autumn 2026, construction work will be carried out on the dyke (approx. 2 km) directly in front of Friedrichskoog-Spitze in the name of coastal protection (climate dyke) and improving the tourist infrastructure. Information on opportunities (such as an interesting large coastal construction site and attractive alternative offers for all age groups planned by a very committed team) and risks (impairments due to construction activities such as closure of the affected coastal section and noise) can be found at any time on the website 'Friedrichskoog.de/natur-region/deichverstaerkung-attraktivierung'.

Our holiday home Nordseeglück is located in a quiet cul-de-sac of the holiday home area of the small peninsula Friedrichskoog-Spitze on the North Sea about 200m from the dyke, behind which the UNESCO World Heritage Schleswig-Holstein Wadden Sea with its biodiversity of animals and plants begins.
Friedrichskoog stands for a North Sea holiday close to nature with the whole family. Whether relaxing in a beach chair, hiking or cycling through incomparable nature or taking advantage of sporting or cultural activities in the spa gardens, all this and much more is right on your doorstep.
You can breathe in the clean, healthy sea air everywhere. You can take a deep breath while walking on the North Sea dyke, experience the ebb and flow of the tide and enjoy the endless peace and space while cycling or hiking between the salt marshes, pastures and the many huge cabbage fields.
A special feature of Friedrichskoog-Spitze is the Trischendamm. This is a paved path on an embankment from the dyke into the mudflats, on which you walk 2.2 kilometres between mudflats and salt marshes towards the sea and, in the evening, often towards an incredibly beautiful sunset. In spring and summer, enjoy the many birds that rest in the salt marshes and always the vastness and impressive diversity of the mudflats.
The centre of Friedrichskoog-Spitze is only approx. 1.3 km from the house - so you can also walk or cycle there if necessary. There are fresh bread rolls at the bakery, delicious ice cream, fish sandwiches at the kiosk, restaurants, spa administration / tourism service, bicycle and go-kart hire, souvenir shops, a mini golf course, a bus station, children's playground with beach volleyball court and fitness equipment, etc.
In the village of Friedrichskoog, 4 km away, you will find a large Rewe supermarket, an Edeka supermarket and a pharmacy. The popular seal centre is also located here, where you can admire seals up close.
The Friedrichskoog Health and Therapy Centre (GTZ) with thermal baths is located between the districts of Friedrichskoog and Friedrichskoog-Spitze.

From spring 2024, the otherwise popular 2 km long dyke with green beach, beach chairs and mudflat access off Friedrichskoog-Spitze will be transformed into a large coastal construction site of the state of Schleswig-Holstein to make the dyke climate-proof.
Construction activities with noise emissions and restrictions are planned there over two years - always in the months when no major storm surges are expected. The route for the construction vehicles has been planned in such a way that it does not cross Friedrichskoog's roads.
At the same time, Friedrichskoog is taking the opportunity to make the new dyke more attractive and also to redesign the spa park with an event area, new children's playground and sports facilities. This spa park area is already being prioritised with the aim of completing it in spring 2024 if possible, so that it can already be used by you during the dyke construction phase.
Even during the dyke construction work, you can explore the surrounding area on foot or with your own or hired bike, for example. The dyke and mudflats between Friedrichskoog-Spitze and Friedrichskoog-Ort can also be used, and many additional activities and new areas for beach chairs are planned. The tourism service can provide information about compensatory offers such as shuttle services to other bathing areas.
