The holiday cottage on the dyke is located in the small, quiet North Sea resort Friedrichskoog in a holiday home area.
The house is situated in a quiet cul-de-sac only 300 m away from the North Sea. The spacious living room is modernly furnished.
A crackling wood stove in the living room ensures cozy comfort even in the winter months. Enjoy a hot grog or "Pharisäer" (sweet coffee with rum and whipped cream) by the blazing fireplace, after a long winter walk by the North Sea. The house is also equipped with satellite TV, a hi-fi system, DVD recorder, washing machine, and gas central heating.
The modern fitted kitchen with an integrated dining area offers great comfort for four to six people and is equipped with an induction hob, oven, dishwasher, refrigerator with freezer compartment, coffee machine, toaster, and microwave.
The daylight bathroom features a rain shower with a real glass partition, plenty of storage space, a mirrored cabinet, and underfloor heating. The bathroom was completely renovated in 2024.
The house has 3 bedrooms, all of which are modernly furnished. The upper floor was extensively renovated in 2022.
The bedroom on the ground floor has a double bed,
the rooms on the upper floor are equipped with 2 single beds.
A travel cot and a high chair are available for toddlers.
The small sauna in the house and the holiday home include a car parking space and a 500 m² garden. The lawn and terrace are located on the southwest side of the holiday home.
A garden table with chairs, as well as 2 sun loungers and a sunshade are available. A charcoal grill is also present. The holiday home is within sight of the North Sea dike, which can be reached via a footpath. Here are a guarded North Sea bathing beach with a playground, beach chair rental,
a separate nudist and a dog beach section. Starting from Easter 2024, under the motto "Friedrichskoog becomes even more attractive," the dike reinforcement will begin. This will result in restrictions on the use of the beach section. The measures will be completed in stages so that part of it remains usable at all times. By spring 2025, the spa park will be finished, and work on the second beach section will have begun. The Trischendamm will not be affected until 2026 and is available for nature-loving tourists until then (restrictions may apply).
This redesign is necessary because the dike needs to be reinforced due to climate change. You can find more information on Friedrichskoog's website at
We explicitly point out that the beach cannot be used as usual. Partial access to the beach will not be possible. Please check the specified homepage before booking. We have adjusted our prices accordingly, so you can have a bargain vacation, but must accept some restrictions. Friedrichskoog offers many alternatives such as a free shuttle to the nearest beach or construction site tours. There will also be live music in the spa park or a "Beachclub."
Everything should be completed by 2026. Currently, construction work is on schedule (as of summer 2025), so you can enjoy a "new" Friedrichskoog.

Friedrichkoog is also the ideal starting point for day trips to the sights and tourist attractions of the North Sea coast of Schleswig-Holstein by car or bus. Far away from the stress of everyday life, in the southwest, on a headland far out in the North Sea, in the Wadden Sea National Park, lies the recognised North Sea resort of Friedrichskoog with its holiday area Friedrichskoog-Spitze.
Friedrichskoog, a fishing village, was only reclaimed from the sea about 150 years ago by dyking.
The character of the climate is comparable to that of an island. Here you will find peace and quiet in the endless salt marshes in front of the dikes. Well-maintained farm tracks invite you to take long bike rides through the köge with rape and cabbage fields, sheep and horses. The green bathing beach has special sections for guests with dogs and for naturists.
Green dikes, endless mudflats and the high blue sky are attributes for a relaxing holiday.
Here you can really soak up the North Sea, swim in the sea,
walk in the silvery mudflats, play and laze on the green beach, march along the dike in a strong breeze.
And in the evening, watch the sun set in the sea.
In the high season, the spa administration organises many events, especially for children. Tennis, bicycle rental, mini-golf are on site, and pony rides are available nearby.

Cancellation terms:
You can withdraw from the contract concluded with us. The withdrawal must be made in writing. In the event of withdrawal from the contract by the tenant, the deposit of 150 euros will be treated as a cancellation fee. From 10 to 4 weeks before the start of the trip, 75% of the total price, thereafter the full price as a cancellation fee. The date of receipt of your cancellation with us is considered the effective date. We recommend taking out travel cancellation insurance. Should there be a prohibition on accommodation due to Covid-19, you will receive your payments made without any deductions.
