Kawatea is Maori for 'where I feel at home'. That is the feeling we strive for in our holiday homes. Our cottages will be completely renovated in 2022 and 2023. From bath and toilet, a new terrace to a new BBQ and beds. Wonderful box-spring beds for the adults and an exceptional place to sleep for 2 younger kids .... a best in the third bedroom. Our detached houses are located on a small family holiday park with a recreational lake and surrounded by meadows. For the recreational fisherman, the water fanatic and the daredevil, all the ingredients are available at the holiday park. Our holiday homes are decorated with New Zealand features to create a homely feel and are fully equipped. All the ingredients for a relaxing stay are present.
Ground floor:
The spacious living room overlooks the garden and has a nice wide sofa and a lovely chair. The dining area is suitable for 6 people, a trip-trap chair and high chairs for children are available on request.
The open kitchen is very complete and is equipped with a dishwasher, oven/microwave, refrigerator, 4-burner induction stove, Dolce-Gusto coffee machine, kettle and toaster. Coffee and tea are ready for use. In the utility room there is a washing machine, drying rack, sunbeds, chairs and outdoor games to make your stay even more pleasant. For guests who like to retreat and want to read a book, there are several books available in various languages. In the special children's room, a barrel full of wooden toys, a play carpet, a high chair, a cot and a stair gate ensure that our young guests also feel at home.
The bathrooms, completely renovated in 2023, are equipped with a luxurious rain shower, separate toilet, spacious bathroom furniture with a large heated mirror and hairdryer.
On the ground floor you will find a beautiful bedroom with comfortable box-spring beds. The beds are equipped with hotel quality bed linen, a wonderful 4-season duvet, 1 bath towel and 2 normal size towels. Due to the many windows, this room is wonderfully light during the day.
First floor:
This floor has two very spacious bedrooms. A room especially for the kids with 2 x a beste with nice folding windows. The other room has 2 scaffolding wooden beds with wonderful mattresses, an armchair and a French balcony. These beds are also equipped with hotel quality bed linen, wonderful 4-season duvets, 1 bath towel and 2 normal size towels. The second bedroom has 2 single beds made of scaffolding wood that can be pushed together.
The garden is very spacious, 465 m2 with a spacious terrace, BBQ, a picnic table and 2 sunbeds to enjoy the wonderful sun that falls on the terrace all day long.
Located on the beautiful holiday park 't Broekhuys in the land of Maas and Waal. Where peace and space dominate, the kids can play to their heart's content, the daredevil can let off steam in the Viking adventure park, the recreational fisherman or diver can indulge themselves at the large lake and the enthusiast of canoeing or supping has all the space to pursue his hobby. to practice. The bustling cities of Nijmegen, Oss, Tiel and Arnhem are within easy reach.

Location and surroundings of object
Our cottages are located in the middle of the Netherlands. Fast connections to all parts of the country, but also to Germany. The cottages are wonderfully quietly located in the green heart between the rivers Maas and Waal and are part of the recreation area De Groene Heuvels. Just a few minutes' walk away you are at the park's own beach with play areas for the children and a beautiful view over the large lake where many forms of water recreation are possible. The province of Gelderland is known for its beautiful views with beautiful walking and cycling routes.
