"Hus Silva" with its 2000 square metres of land is a house that combines a mix of antique and modern details.
The garden has always been a natural paradise for many bird species.
This special place is a refuge, made for leaving the hustle and bustle of everyday life behind.
"Hus Silva" is located approx. 500 metres as the crow flies from the Wadden Sea between Hooksiel and Horumersiel on the road
St. Joostergroden.
In front of the house there is a beautiful spacious garden with over a hundred-year-old currant bushes and old trees, which invites you to linger. The house itself was built in 1890 and has been in the family since 1904. Over the last 100 years, "Hus Silva" has been lovingly maintained and many authentic details of the old Frisian house have been preserved. In the small central living room, an antique blue tiled stove creates a cosy atmosphere on chilly evenings. Two steps lead up to the raised bedroom. Wooden sliding doors and recessed ceiling beams in Nordic colours enhance the special atmosphere of the house. In the "parlour" is the "Prahlhans", a large display cabinet made of oak wood, in which the good crockery, silver and other treasures are displayed today, as they were 100 years ago.
The light-flooded veranda is a very special place to linger. Whether for breakfast, a slice of Friesian cake in the afternoon or a glass of wine at sunset, you can always unwind here with a view of the fields.
