We were received very warmly and were shown where to find everything and what all is available to use. The holiday apartment "Sanddorn" at the Kastanienhof really pleased us. It was very cozy. We were two people with 3 dogs visiting over New Year's for 7 nights. The apartment has an open living, sleeping, and dining area, plus a kitchen with an adjoining bathroom. We would visit the farm again at any time.

Dreamlike, huge, well-maintained, and fenced garden with monkey swings and teak furniture (we even had visits from a roe deer twice), very quiet and romantically located, between cow and. Horse pastures (car is a must), sauna top, beautiful couple's vacation with our 2 dogs, mattresses top (as well as allergy bedding was of course provided), kitchen everything necessary was available, even with starter set, cozy living room corner, loving decor, nice caretaker/gardener, smooth process, super Wi-Fi. Unfortunately, there were no fly screens, so without Autan, you get mercilessly sucked dry in the summer and are often swarmed by mosquitoes at night. A fan in the summer would be great. The rocking chairs should be disposed of due to the risk of accidents, and the toilet seat is quite loose and seems pretty unstable, but that's nitpicking at a high level, because we would definitely come back.

The Chestnut Court is located very quietly on a narrow country road, surrounded only by meadows and cows. The nearest town is about 5 minutes by car. The property has three buildings with vacation apartments, two large meadows, and a pond. The Sandthorn apartment pleased us after we got used to the unusual decor with a lot of wood and carvings, as well as the alcove beds. The apartment was fully equipped and offered everything one needed. The sauna was good, but in addition to the cold drench shower in the sauna room, a warm shower would be helpful. One year ago, there was a change in ownership. This was positively noticeable in the apartment. Many furnishings were renewed. The new owners are very friendly and eager to bring everything up to date. They responded directly to inquiries and, for example, immediately replaced the sauna accessories. The apartment has a good structure, but the carpet should be replaced, as it is simply old. The previous owner obviously invested nothing more, and the new owners are now gradually modernizing the holiday apartments and maintaining the property again. We enjoyed our stay and are curious to see how this will further improve in the coming years.

The Chestnut Farm is quietly located in the green surrounded by horse and cattle pastures and is conveniently situated in the middle between Husum and Friedrichstadt. There are two extremely spacious and very well-maintained garden areas. The "Sanddorn" apartment on the upper floor of the left building is very tastefully furnished and the equipment (kitchen equipment, media, seating furniture) has been modernized to a high standard. The wooden trims are beautifully crafted - truly something special! We felt very comfortable :) (Booking also went smoothly and great.)
