Welcome to Chalet Margarete! It's nice that you dropped by.
If you are looking for a freshly renovated holiday home, you've come to the right place. Chalet Margarete was completely renovated by us in fall 2011 and updated to the latest ecological standards of technology and comfort. In autumn 2024, the chalet was expanded to include an additional bedroom, an additional bathroom, a fireplace room, and a laundry room. The already large terrace was also expanded. However, the best features of Chalet Margarete were already there before the renovation.
A beautiful view over the mountains of the Allgäuer and Bregenzer Forests.
A perfect location (south-facing slope) at an elevation of 950 meters.
Good access to hiking and skiing areas in the immediate vicinity.
Our holiday home (approx. 95 m2 of living space, approx. 150 m2 of total usable area) offers all this and more. 90 m2 terrace around the house), is equipped with everything you need for living - and even more. Living
Chalet Margarete accommodates up to six people, divided into three bedrooms with double beds, a fireplace room, and a TV room. With six people, our holiday home is ideally suited. Across the two floors, our three bedrooms, a living room, a TV room, a modern kitchen, two spacious bathrooms, an additional toilet on the ground floor, the dining room, a TV room, and a cozy living room are distributed. In good weather, one can go out onto the 100-square-meter terrace. Cozy equipment for lounging is of course available. Food and Drink
Of course, one can enjoy the delicious cuisine of Austria in the surrounding area and treat oneself to one or another delicacy, but the modern kitchen in Chalet Margarete also makes it easy to put together great dishes yourself. A multifunctional combination oven, a combination oven with pizza function, and a new gas stove with a wok corner invite you to create magic. The dishwasher takes care of the washing up. Basic food items and spices are available on site and may of course be used.
An ecological and sustainable holiday
The mountain world of Vorarlberg is one of the most beautiful places that nature has given us in Central Europe. Therefore, we placed great value on the technology and insulation of our chalet during the renovation. Under the hood of Chalet Margarete hides the latest technology. Both infrared and solar heating not only warm the living areas but also the bathroom via underfloor heating. A photovoltaic system provides the power for all electrical devices. The surplus is supplied to the regular green electricity network. For those who want to stay up-to-date even on vacation: A television and free WiFi internet are also available to our visitors. The romantics can light the wood stove and thus create a cozy atmosphere.

Whether you want to relax, hike or do sports: Vorarlberg offers a wide range of entertainment options - and you are right in the middle of it. In winter the skiing areas Bödele, Schetteregg, Didamskopf, Mellau/Damüls, Balderschwang and Warth/Schröcken attract you. In summer you can explore the surroundings on foot or by car. For the more adventurous there are paragliding and hang gliding opportunities. The Bregenzerwald and Montfort Rankweil golf courses are also just a few minutes' drive from Chalet Margarete. Lake Constance and the lakeside metropolis of Bregenz, with its lakeside stage and art house, also attract art and culture enthusiasts to the country time and again. The nearest place for shopping and first contact with the people of Vorarlberg is Egg. There and in the immediate vicinity you will find restaurants where you can indulge in the cuisine of Autrichienne
Directions:
For exact directions to Egg, please refer to the map attached. In Egg you drive in the direction of Schwarzenberg/Bödele, but only until you reach a power house about 200 m after the bridge over the Bregenzer Ach river. There you turn right and follow the sign of the Alpenrose inn up the hill. Drive to the Alpenrose, pick up your key and continue along the private road until you reach the first (and only) turn-off on the left. Take this and drive to the very back of the forest. There you will see your holiday home, which you can easily recognize from the photos. Parking is directly in front of the house

Your caretaker will visit you shortly after your arrival and explain the apartment and the surroundings.

Then send us your registration. It becomes valid as soon as you have transferred a deposit of 25% of the rental price. The rest of the rent should be paid two weeks before the start of the rental period. A deposit of € 300,- is required for security. You will receive the money back after the handover. |

Fantastic
The chalet is to be recommended all around: Fantastic location, very tastefully furnished, wonderful, large terrace, equipped with everything you need in the kitchen, bathroom, .... You can feel that architects were at work here ?

A beautiful relaxing holiday
If you like mountains and don't want to sleep and shower in a cold hut, you have to come here. Underfloor heating in the sanitary rooms is simply something nice :)
recommend for: holiday with children, cultural and sightseeing holiday, skiing holiday, romantic holiday
Vicinity of the holiday home: Die voralberger sind sehr freundlich und man fühlt sich gleich wie zuhause aber halt wo anderes ;)
free time activities: Was man halt so in denn Bergen macht Skifahren, Wandern und dürch denn bodensee auch Baden usw.
