We are two weeks on holiday in Les Vaux with our family, consisting of parents and four boys (9,8,5,0). We love gehad.Les Vaux is a great holiday in a very central location. We made trips to among others the beaches Granville, Genet and Haut-sur-Mer. Coutances and Villedieu-les-Poêles are nice towns. Furthermore, Le Mont-St-Michel worth a visit. Very nice we found it to climb and dredge with our sons around the island (at low tide). Obviously been a long day at the landing beaches (Utah, Omaha), the Utah Museum, St-Mere-Eglise (we found off putting some), Pointe-du-Hoc (great for our boys with all those bunkers) and an American cemetery . swum twice, once in an outdoor Brescey, once inside Villedieu-les-Poêles. Also a day out with the canoe at Condé-sur-Vire (varying distances are possible). Finally went to St Malo, a little further away but definitely worth waard.Gastvrouw was very nice and sweet, even had delicious crepes baked for us. Kids had plenty of space to play around the door, which came out with the weather.

Highly recommended this house! Very friendly owner, nice house with lots of privacy. Good starting point for excursions to Mont Saint Michel and the D Day sites. The town of Villedieu is within walking distance, the supermarché too, but with the car easier to reach. The house itself is fully equipped, including 2 loungers on the spacious terrace, and very clean.

This cottage met all our requirements. Quietly situated. Everything. Even in the home automation with automatic shutters! Friendly welcome from France, "the lady of the house". Very spacious house. Play area for children. Even small touches like a nosegay flowers on the table, dishwasher tablets, a few coffee filters, ... Ideal base to explore the interesting sites to visit: the "plages the débarquement" course as must-American cemetery in Colleville-sur-mer where even past the metal detector must pass the town of Villedieu-les-Poêles not forget the bell , the many abbeys in the area and of course the majestic Mont-St-Michel, the tourist attraction. Tip: a nighttime visit is a lot quieter. The coastal towns also, of course, where the sea for miles subsides and the search for the coastline. The upscale Granville, ... The house is beautiful, neat and spacious enough, with a large garden where you can play football and table tennis. Everything you need is there. The only thing I would recommend is an internet connection. Since the 4G connection is not always good here, Wifi could be useful. For reservations and especially when you have to fill in documents due to covid, etc., it is quite a hassle to do this in the tourist office of Villedieu ... Although they are very friendly and helpful there! The cottage is very well located as a base for many destinations. From here we have visited Villedieu-les-Poêles (of course!), Saint-Malo and Mont-Saint-Michel, as well as Granville and the Iles Chausey (recommended!), Carolles beach, the D-day beaches and Sainte -Mere-Eglise. The zoo in Champrépus (only a fifteen minute drive) is also recommended for children. A well-kept zoo! Our week was too short to visit Coutances, Cherbourg, Saint-Lô, Bayeux and Caen :-)

The accommodation is very well located. A combination of a quiet location with possibility for a lot of nice excursions in the area. The cottage was provided with everything and the mains. The owners were very friendly. The reception was warm. Tips for possible excursions were given spontaneously. A place to come back.

Spacious house. Beautifully situated garden. Unfortunately no good sitting garden chairs, other facilities are more than sufficient / good. Nearby villages are also easily accessible on foot. Every now and then there is a lot of noise from a traffic road nearby.

Our cottage was fully equipped, very clean and spacious. We have used a lot of swing, table tennis and the space around the house. We were very hospitable and friendly welcome with a bottle of cider and delicious cookies. Our French was not so great, but with a little French and a little English, we came out. It's a nice place to be on vacation because you can go either way. Both in Normandy and Brittany. Villedieu-les-Poêles is very close and it's fun to make a tour there and certainly bring the Fonderie de cloches (clockmakers museum) a visit. We have been further include the Abbey Hambye, the zoo in Champrepus, Le Village Enchante, Festyland, Bayeux, not to mention Mont Saint Michel. All advisable. The Bayeux Tapestry I found worth. There are many war memorials view. It's impressive to be. At Point du Hoc Granville is a beautiful port. It is wonderful to watch, to walk along the quay and go to the beach. We have spent a week. Upon arrival we were immediately welcomed by the owner. They gave us an extensive tour and suggested that we always could come to her if we wanted to know something or wanted to ask. Area (we were never been here before) was overwhelming. We came here to go to the invasion areas to visit. This is what we have done well and also found time to visit the beautiful Mont Saint Michel. The zoo, direction Granville, we have visited. A real must. Great landscaped and large areas where you can go between the animals. The weather was with us for making this a memorable holiday has become. We will certainly return.

The accommodation is perfect. Spacious and cozy. The location is convenient. The motorway is very close. Ideal starting point for all attractions. For example Invasion Beaches with its many museums, Mont-Saint-Michel, St. Malo and castles. We have lived here two great weeks.

Highly recommended, lesson vaux! Beautiful, spacious and clean house within easy reach of many activities. D-day beaches, Mont St Michel, Bayeux, fonderie des cloches in Villedieu ... We had not really enough for a week! Owner very friendly, fresh flowers on arrival and a bottle of apple cider in the fridge.
