recommend for: holiday with children, holiday with pet

Once again we had a wonderful week of autumn vacation here.

Sitting here on the terrace in the "Indian summer", enjoying local walnuts and apples... with a glass of Sauterne. Unsurpassed!

The house is in a beautiful location, but is quite dated. The kitchen is furnished with old appliances and a lot of "useless" stuff. For example, there are a lot of pans (much more than you can use), but there is no colander. The fence at the back of the house is very nice, but you have to be careful with small children, because it is not entirely clear when the electric fence for the cows is on.

We were very kindly received by the owner and his wife and were given a tour of the house. Ron and Katie Fletcher gave us all kinds of information about the area and the sights. They live nearby, are always reachable but leave their guests completely free. The very complete and clean holiday home is beautifully situated a few kilometers from Sourdeval-les Bois, with a fantastic view from the terrace on the hilly landscape of meadows and forests. We have made nice trips to the Mont Saint-Michel, the abbey of Hambye, Granville and the beach of Saint-Martin.

We were warmly welcomed in this cozy house, by Mr and Mrs, with a nice and warm fire in the wood stove. The house is as in the pictures. The fireplace is a warm center where we really enjoyed (we were here in November) .The view is very beautiful and the location central and rural in Normandy s "At night you can only hear the owl. We like that. From La Sayère you can easily explore this part of Normandy and visit the sights. We have of course visited Mont Saint Michel (very impressive and nice and quiet in winter), Ste Mère Eglise with museum and Utah beach. Granville has a very nice fish shop for fish and oysters from the region. Also a must! We also found the arrival of the fishing boats very nice to see. Furthermore, we have a wonderful walk in the area and on the coast. Our dog Bess has also enjoyed!

We were welcomed and shown around our house. The location is a nice, quiet place surrounded by nature. All us what let it down was the size of the living room. We were with z 'n sixes (+ baby) and that was a bit tight. As a result there was no room for a toilet downstairs. This may be an issue for people with mobility problems. But otherwise it was a great atmosphere.

Super House, friendly owners really have thought of everything to make you comfortable vacation spend. Upon arrival the fireplace for example, be up and running before you made! Kitchen very complete. View is really fantastic. "Evening ink black so the sky is visible. Two private forests, adventure for the kids. Well ahead for us. A walk to the (fast flowing) river. For people with a dog, perfect. Definitely recommended.

(lovely bed !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!) it was never too cold or too warm… it was ever so quiet .. we couldn't ask for more. the dogs had the time of their lives… and also slept like babies !!

Just like last year enjoyed the surroundings. New piece of estate discovered. From the cottage we saw the bulls walking along. Very special. Upon arrival beautiful tulips on the table and a nice bottle of wine. Gives a welcome feeling! The surroundings this year looked more. Omaha beach and other beaches and a beautiful monastery at Mon St Michel. Beautiful!

Nice and comfortable house with great views! The house is secluded (so very quiet) and nearest supermarket is approx. 10 min. Drive. Beautiful hilly area. There is much to see, viz Le Mont st. Michel (approx. 50km), D-Day beaches, Granville, Caen etc. etc. We have two wonderful weeks in this house.

What a great view and what a peace! We greatly enjoyed the garden. Also highly recommended for dog owners. The owners are very dog friendly and do everything to make you and your dog to the sentence without being intrusive. We really enjoyed.

House was great, very clean and very well equipped. Owners are very friendly and the privacy is huge. Only downside for us was the fact that the many hectares of land were mainly for the view. We have two small children and there is electric fence everywhere. The owners wanted this best for us, but you have no idea where the estate ends and that of another begins ... also there were many thistles and nettles in the field. Nothing but praise, but this was the only point we had expected something else.

We were received very friendly. The area is quiet. Nice base for a day at the beach, Saint Malo, Mont Saint Michel, Caen, D-day beaches and near the Abbaye de Hambye and the nice town of Villedieu-les-Poêles. View from the terrace is great. stream close by. House has some things, but that gives it the right character. Lots of privacy, but if needed the owners live next door. Liked very much.
