Located in the centre of the beautiful Harz town of Braunlage, in the immediate vicinity of the Wurmberg cable car, our newly renovated holiday apartment is ideally suited for couples or small families.
Due to the special location at the foot of the Wurmberg, the holiday flat is ideal for active families with small children, winter sports enthusiasts and mountain bikers. The car does not need to be moved during the entire holiday.

Our holiday flat is located at an altitude of approx. 600m in the Harz town of Braunlage, in a small apartment complex directly opposite the valley station of the Wurmberg cable car. The flat is very central: the Wurmberg cable car and the town centre of Braunlage with its recommendable restaurants and diverse nightlife options are also within walking distance. Due to the location set back from the street, the dense tree growth on the garden side and the mountain stream "Bode" running directly along the property, you are still in the middle of nature!
Due to the close proximity to the Wurmberg cable car, our holiday flat is particularly suitable for active families with small children, winter sports enthusiasts and mountain bikers:
Winter sports enthusiasts appreciate the proximity to the cable car and the slopes of the Wurmberg. The Rathaus ski meadow, which is very popular with young and old winter sports beginners and is very snow-sure thanks to machine snowmaking, is also within easy walking distance.
For mountain bikers, the Braunlage Mountain Bike Park is right next door. Likewise, the hiking trails are only a few steps away.
In the warm season, you can make wonderful use of the terrace with direct garden access. Children love to play in the garden and at the small mountain stream.
The town centre, spa park and swimming pool (free of charge for you) are within easy walking distance, even with small children

Our first toboggan and ski vacation.
The booking page is informative and user-friendly, just like booking with Mr. Forster himself.
Mrs. Wagner is the lady on site, she was very nice from the first phone contact and greeted us kindly. She issued us the spa cards and provided extras for our son such as a travel cot, high chair, and stool, and showed us the premises as well as the apartment's cellar with 2 sleds, ski boot dryer, sauna, washing machine, dryer, and table tennis room.
The apartment is tastefully furnished: Simple and cozy, without much frills. The beds and sofa bed are comfortable to sleep on. The curtains darken well. The shower room is spacious, a hairdryer was provided.
There was a designated parking space for our car right in front of the entrance. This allowed for quick unloading of the car.
As a welcome gesture, there was a pre-chilled bottle of Prosecco and chocolate bars for the children. A welcome folder with very helpful local information and information on free Wi-Fi was also provided. We felt very welcome. There was still enough snow on the slopes, so we immediately went the incredibly short way to the valley station of the cable car, rode up to the middle station with the gondola, and from there went back down with the sleds, both large enough for 1 adult and 1 child. A great fun, especially for the children. Skiers can drive directly up to the Wurmberg and have all the Wurmberg slopes to choose from. Our daughter really enjoyed her ski lesson the next day. The ice rink, also located nearby, we unfortunately couldn't use during the short vacation. In the evening, we cooked in the excellently equipped kitchen, including a table grill, Nespresso machine, milk frother, dishwasher, toaster, salad spinner, spices, parchment paper, oil, cleaning supplies, etc. The children then chose a Minion movie from the large selection of films.

Great location, superbly equipped, and cozy
Great location, just separated from the valley station of the cable car by a few trees and a stream. Parking right in front of the door. Bakery, shops, restaurants within walking distance. Bright, cozy, and superbly equipped: kitchen with dishwasher, Nespresso machine, milk frother, salt, pepper, vinegar, oil, etc. Hairdryer available, stereo system, sauna in the basement, seamless Wi-Fi usage, DVDs, board games. Information folder, including dining recommendations, for example. Where can you find a good bakery (description with queuing on Sundays fits ;-) ).
We felt very comfortable and would love to come back.

Great apartment for climbers - boulderers
The apartment is conveniently located in the Harz Mountains for climbers/boulderers. There are numerous rocks that can be reached by car within 30 minutes. After climbing, the on-site sauna provides the opportunity to relax in the evenings after a tough day of climbing. The apartment is overall high-quality and leaves nothing to be desired. The internet connection (very important for me as a freelancer) was very good to work effectively. If you're too lazy to cook, you can also walk to the restaurants in town.
Other options that could be seen directly from the window are the cable car and the bike park in Braunlage.
We will come back immediately, as we still have climbing projects to complete ;-)
