Description
Feel good in a cosy holiday home between the Baltic Sea, the Holstein lake district and culture. The romantic cottage from 1812 with three alpacas in its own garden (standing on a fenced-in meadow) invites you to relax and linger.
The renovated holiday home with its own garden is located in the middle of Holstein Switzerland and offers 92 square metres of living space for a maximum of 4 adults. Since 09/23, we have also had three alpaca ladies, who can be seen directly from the garden and the two bedrooms.
On request, various forms of animal encounters can be booked from November 2023 (alpaca hike, one-hour meet & greet, etc. by arrangement). The loving alpacas help us to slow down and get away from the hectic pace of everyday life. Especially in rough phases of life, these adorable animals have a very calming and mood-lifting effect due to their curious but rather reserved nature. We are pleased to be able to offer our guests this encounter without having to travel long distances.
In renovating the more than 200-year-old cottage, we have tried to preserve the historic character and charm while adding modernity and style.
Our guests will find all kinds of shopping facilities only four kilometres away in the rose town of Eutin. The fine sandy beaches and inviting Baltic seaside resorts of Haffkrug and Scharbeutz are about 10 minutes away by car, and Timmendorfer Strand and Neustadt are also not far away. The Hanseatic city of Lübeck is about 25 minutes away by car, and Kiel takes about 45 minutes. For a side trip to Hamburg, you should plan a driving time of about one hour.
The holiday cottage is very lovingly and personally furnished, has a shower room, a fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher and direct access to the dining area. A living room with fireplace and Smart-TV and two separate bedrooms on the ground floor (bed 180x200) and first floor (2 beds á 90x200) offer space for a maximum of 4 adults. A somewhat narrower wooden staircase with railing leads to the first floor (see photos).
A private garden is also available. Garden furniture, WLAN, bed linen and hand and kitchen towels are of course included. If required, we can also provide a travel cot and a baby or high chair. The guest car park is just to the left of the holiday home.
THINGS TO KNOW:
We would like to point out that the heating costs will be charged separately at the end of the stay with 14ct /kwH according to the respective consumption. Washing machine and dryer can be used for a stay of more than 7 days after prior arrangement, we also provide an iron if required.
FOR NEW YEAR'S EVE BOOKERS:
Due to the thatched roof, no firecrackers or rockets are allowed within 200m of the house. We hope for your understanding!
Unfortunately, pets are not allowed in our house.
Arrival should take place between 15.00 and 19.00 (exceptions are of course possible by arrangement). Please leave by 11.30 a.m. at the latest, or by 10.00 a.m. if you are arriving again on the same day.

Our cottage is located in the middle of the Hostein Switzerland between the Baltic Sea resorts of the Lübeck Bay and the rose city of Eutin. Here you will find relaxation in the surroundings of the Holstein lake district, the beach possibilities between lively and lonely towards the north and the cultural offers in many farms, manor houses, the cities of Hamburg, Lübeck and Kiel and much more.

cozy cottage, friendly hosts
As soon as we arrived, we were warmly welcomed by the hosts and moved into this charming cottage, which is lovingly and tastefully furnished. The place is quite quiet, just right for switching off. The Baltic Sea is not far away and invites you to take long walks. We felt very comfortable. Thank you dear Maren, dear Joachim - we would love to come back.
