Discover the perfect cottage for a relaxing, cultural or adventure holiday in Castelnuovo Magra, Liguria! Located on a small park on the border of Liguria and Tuscany, right between Cinque Terre and Pisa, this fine chalet sleeps up to 4 people in 25.5 square metres of living space. The chalet has 2 bedrooms, 1 bathroom and is ideal for a wonderful family holiday or a getaway for two.
Enjoy a relaxing holiday in this cosy chalet, where you can choose from a wide range of activities, culture, nature, beach holiday, city break, walking holiday or dog-friendly holiday. The property is 8 km from the sea and sandy beach.
The park where the chalet is located has a lovely swimming pool with separate children's pool, where you can cool down during the hot summer days.
The chalet has a spacious, covered veranda of 25.5 square metres, and 12 square metres of veranda which is not covered. So you can sit in the shade but also in the sun. Around the veranda a tiled terrace which is fenced.
Inside the chalet you will find a comfortable living area with air conditioning, but also heating, a fully equipped kitchen with 4 burner gas hob, fridge, freezer, coffee machine, kettle and a cosy dining area.
In the bedrooms you will find fine beds, and plenty of wardrobe space to store your clothes. The bathroom has a shower cubicle, a toilet, washbasin and mirror. The beds are made, and a towel set, with one bath towel and one bath towel per person, are included. Do bring your own kitchen linen.
The interior of the chalet is calm and tasteful , with a combination of wooden elements and soft colours. The windows provide plenty of natural light.
Each window is fitted with a mosquito net.
The chalet is located roughly in the middle of the park, 100 metres from the swimming pool, restaurant and reception. The park is not that big, about 50 cottages of the park itself, and 50 cottages privately owned. The park itself is quiet. There is a swimming pool with separate children's pool and a good restaurant.
The park has had new management for several years, and it has been considerably refurbished: new swimming pool, for example, and a charging point for electric cars.
The park is located on a hill, in the forest, so you have to do some climbing and descending. You can take your car to the front door to unload stuff. The car park is 20 metres from the chalet. The other chalets are not very close, so you don't watch the food from the neighbours' plates.
The other chalets nearby are also privately owned. Most of them are not rented out. They are used on weekends, and for the owners' holidays. August is often the busiest month, as this is when most Italians have holidays.
Especially outside the high season, this is a lovely quiet place, but plenty of liveliness nearby that you can seek out.

Location and surroundings of object
We are in love! On this beautiful area on the border of Liguria and Tuscany. The region is called Lunigiana and really has everything you are looking for in your holiday.
Who doesn't love sandy beaches with sea? Especially as a family with children, who can have fun here.
Do you like villages with those cosy little narrow streets? Where I'm always glad I don't have to walk up with my weekly shopping. But which are so lovely to wander through. Villages where you sometimes meet no one?
Those colourful villages squeezed between the cliffs, like Cinque Terre, Portovenere and Lerici. I can't get enough of them. Cute little harbours, colourful boats, cute little squares with terraces.
Castles or fortresses? Almost every village has one. Castelnuovo Magra, Fosdovino which is almost next door. But also 2 castles/fortresses in Sarzana, 8 km away.
Beautiful cities like Florence, Lucca or Pisa? Great to visit.
Prefer hiking, or cycling. The beautiful nature invites you. The 1st waterfall is at walking distance from the chalet.
Are you the adventurous type? Take an excursion through a canyon, go abseiling in the canyon park near Lucca. Arrange a jeep ride through the marble quarries of Massa Carrara. Or take a night trip through the stalactite caves of Eque terme.
And who doesn't like good food? There is a good restaurant on the park, but also more than enough restaurants and bars nearby. Our chalet has a folder with tips and also addresses of shops, supermarkets, etc.
Wine tasting, also in the folder several wineries in the area, which we can heartily recommend.
Prefer shopping? There is an outlet and a large indoor shopping centre 30 minutes' drive away.
And each village or town has its own local shops where you can browse.
In short: fall in love as we did, and come and enjoy!

My name is Gianni. I was born and raised in Sardinia and my dream was to have my own little house in Italy. My wife Ans and I came to this park in 2018, and immediately fell in love. It was raining, the still empty field was a big blubber puddle. But we saw what it could become. The cottages are not in rows/streets next to each other, but criss-cross the park under the trees. They are also all different. The park is on the border of Liguria and Tuscany, in the Lunigiana region. It really has everything: colourful villages like Cinque Terre and Lerice, beautiful cities like Florence and Lucca, castles, sea and beaches and the beautiful nature of the Apennines with forests, rivers and waterfalls. We have been coming there for 5 years now and are still discovering new gems. Gianni as a self-employed worker in transport, and Ans as a nurse, almost retired, see this place as their second home. We try to enjoy this place at resort Ippotur as much as possible.
